Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf - San Francisco

Cute and spacious room. Very Creative and colorful. Fun atmosphere. Great location.

Need to work on the interier, striped carpet and framed wall paper come on now....

If you are looking to live somewhere that is lively, accessible to all the tourist destination, and affordable, I definitely recommend Sheraton.

We loved the location of this hotel, so close to the Wharf and transits. The hotel is lovely and the outside seating area with the fire features was really nice. We booked under a 50% off special, which was nice. However, we had room 3222 and could hear every foot fall on the floor above us. Those folks got up early and march around the room a lot, […] so that was annoying. The view was of a rooftop, not good. I loved that they supply Starbucks drip coffee in the room. Pretty basic. Could be the ugliest hotel decor I have ever seen. But clean rooms with comfortable beds. Public areas of hotel are very absic as well. A place to sleep in and nothing more.

Enjoyed staying here and it was a great location to explore San Fran, just a pity about the noisey room. Our room was on the second floor, looking out at the bus depot. Even with the window closed, it was really noisey and it started vvery early in the morning. Only really downside, although they charge for wifi in the room as well, which is a rip off […] no days. Great location Hotel itself was average,don't get a room anywhere near the start of the corridor as the lift shaft makes so much noise it keeps you awake. Also would recommend getting a room on top level as you hear the people on the floor above walking around. Just a couple blocks from Pier 39. Great food and Entertainment. Nice to take a walk around the nieghborhood.

The Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf is one block from Fisherman's Wharf at its closest point and 2.5 blocks from Pier 39. Both locations, of course, are very close. We chose to arrive via Amtrak which has a dropoff point at Pier 39. Unfortunately, there is no van pick-up service which is problematic when (as in our case) it is 4:30 a.m. (due to our train […] being 6 hours late). We talked the Amtrak bus driver into dropping us off at the corner nearest the hotel, so we did not have to risk walking up Beech Street 2.5 blocks in the darkness and in uncertainty of our safety at that time of day. (There were no taxis anywhere near Pier 39 -- I certainly checked before asking our bus driver to accommodate us). The hotel did not have a restaurant, just a snack location. But, there were restaurants in the area, so we did not starve. I understand not many people are checking in at 4:45 a.m. as we did, but there was no one at the front desk until a custodian summoned someone to come to us. Our three day stay was very nice. The parking rate is too high!

Really pleased with the hotel and the location was excellent. The staff went out of their way to help me find transportation to a business meeting 60 miles out. I would definitely stay again. Only negative was the price for breakfast. Forced us to leave the hotel. Went to Boudin's. Great value and a wonderful breakfast.

When calling in to say we would arrive late for check in I was passed around to different extensions then the day of arrival the front desk was very unhelpful with directions on transportation to hotel and not very clear. Upon arrival I wanted to check my mail and discovered wireless was 14.99 a day .... Come on even Holiday Inn has free Internet and […] this is a Sheraton. Great hotel! If you don't care about room service, read no more. I understand Fishermans warf is a wonderful place full of restaurants, but I need reliable room service--not everybody enjoys dining out alone. I believe there is no lunch hour room service! My husband and I were very pleased by the location, within walking distance from wharf and attractions. Also very easy to find. As for the room, great size, lots of room, and the bed was to die for. So comfortalbe did not want to leave. Would go back in a heart beat. We got a great deal on price and will watch for it again. :)

Having stayed at most of the major chain hotels in the Fishermans Wharf area the Sheraton takes the cake for best location combined with comfort and a helpful staff. While leaning toward the pricy side of other hotels in the FW area I would recommend this hotel for families or visitors looking for a nice hote. Glad I read about the $45.00 / nite parking […] charge so I didn't fall over when they told me at check-in. I liked the hotel. Nice design and good location. I was however, VERY unhappy with the surprise $51 a night parking fee for use of the hotel parking garage..... as a paying guest! I had a great stay at Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel is impeccably clean and the staff was very courteous. My room and bed were excellent and extremely comfortable. The hotel is very close (1.5 blocks) to the Pier 39 of Fisherman's Wharf and all the shops/restaurants there. The historic street cars also stop just by the hotel. You can ride in […] a cool, old-style transportation to Union Square/ Moscone Center. Most of the tour buses (if you choose to take a city tour, Napa tour, etc) also start from Fisherman's Wharf. So, the hotel is pretty much in a sweet spot. One of the highlights of the hotel are the fire pits! If you are visiting in winter time, you are going to LOVE sitting by the fire and sipping a drink in the evenings. Or, you can enjoy your morning coffee there! Disappointed that the pool was under renovation. No pre warning on the website. Not great when you have kids looking forward to it.

Hotel is very nice and clean. However, we were not accustomed to the noise of the city. It stays pretty loud at night with the city noise.

It was a bitr difficult to find the entrance to hotel as you can only enter one way it seems..BUT..everything else was above average. Unbeatable location if you are coming as a tourist. Our room was adjacent to the main drive that cuts through the hotel so a bit loud in the early morning. There were also seating areas around fire pits near our window and some late night revelars (Giants fans in for the 49rs game) hotting it up around them. My biggest issue is cleanliness. The room was clean and I never felt uncomfortable. We were on the street level so it was a bit louder than I would have liked but turning the fan on drowned out most of the noise. Nice place. Kids enjoyed sitting by the fire outside at night.

My husband and I normally stay at small boutique hotels when we visit San Francisco but this trip we took advantage of a "deal" and stayed at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf. Our only complaint during our stay was that the bathroom and powder room lights were operated by the same switch so if you got up in the middle of the night, the entire guestroom was illuminated. Could easily be corrected with a heat sensor night light or new switches. Other than that, it was wonderful. The outdoor seating area with the firepits and comfortable couches, even during this sort of rainy weekend, were very inviting. The personnel behind the counters, valet and bellmen were all very friendly and anxious to give you tips on where to eat and play. We will stay here again! And the price, very good! I generally thought that the hotel was over priced and not up to the standards I expected of a Sheraton.

you could tell it was an old building with a remodel job, but the remodel was well done and it was exceptionally clean (a huge MUST in our opinion). The front desk (1 person with a line of people trying to check in!) and concierge (5 people standing around talking to eachother) were not that helpful and unimpressive! We pushed our own luggage up to […] our room! But the housekeeping was top-notch and the hotel is 2 blocks (not a scary walk) from Pier 39. VERY convenient. The outside fire places/pits were a very cool feature (there were 5 different ones) and a great place to sit and have a coffee or a wine. We also did the Double-Decker Sightseeing Bus Tour (48 hour tickets w/ hop on hop off privledges - day and night tours) and it was AWESOME. Easy walking distance from hotel - Walgreens on the way for drinks and/or snacks and their tour was top-notch! We did 5 rides on the bus in 2 days and learned and saw something different every time! Like always, a great service, nice, clean and confortable rooms, for me, the best location. in two woeds: GREAT HOTEL! Not only I would recommend this hotel, in my next trip to San Francisco, like i always do, I will go to this Sheraton.

Took our two young boys to SF to see the Blue Angels and didn't want to hassle with traffic back to the North Bay so we booked a room here based on reviews and the prime location. We actually arrived much earlier than check-in time because we wanted to park our car and begin to enjoy our day. While the parking rate seems to be high, coming out to about $55 overnight, we were able to leave our car there until 6pm the following evening although check-out was at noon. This more than covers what any parking facility nearby would have charged for that popular SF weekend. The hotel was very tidy and that staff all extremely friendly.
