Hyatt regency was indeed rubbish. I couldn't even last one night I had to leave immiediately. First the fragrance on coming into the hotel was choking I hope they undertsand that some people are allergic to fragrance so it should be mild and kept simple.

The hotel is in a great location to see & enjoy the night life of Miami. Close to South Beach and a beautiful view!

We stayed at the Miami Hyatt after a cruise, and chose it due to its proximity to the port and central location. They kindly allowed us to check in at 11 a.m. Pluses are clean rooms, nice views, convenient access to public transportation, and friendly service. The neighborhood is fine, but not that interesting, however, 40 dollars will get you to South beach and back (4 dollars if you take the bus)

This hotel is by everything. Great for all ages.. Staff was great, free upgrade to a suite. Breakfast came in handy after a long night of partying. Lol. Never got up on time to try the pool, so I can't comment on that. Hotel valet is pretty cool, there is a daily rate but you can work something out. (shhhh). Great Service in a very central location. Great for business but if you are staying for family vacation I would pass. Bathrooms are old and very small. Room is small too and just ok. Food at restaurant was terrific though! The price was good though so if you are looking for a more inexpensive place to stay this would be ok.

went to miami for non-ultra musical reasons during the festival, and had to stay in the worst hotel, 'river park hotel and suites' which was next door to the hyatt. it was so bad, that we booked a room at hyatt regency on our last night there (they actually had a vacancy on the last night, otherwise we would have been there the whole stay). the staff […] was amazing. the food was amazing. the drinks were amazing... and the bed could actually be slept on. very clean and awesome throughout... best deal for the price in downtown miami, hands down. We stayed there for one night before taking a cruise. It is very close to the Port of Miami, the rooms are very comfortable, and the food in the pub and restaurant is good. Staff are very friendly and helpful! I will stay there again when we take another cruise out of Miami.

I loved the hotel in downtown Miami, it was super clean, the staff were very helpful at all times. I was in Miami on business and the traffic was unbelievable, don't think it would make too good a vacation but for business it was perfect.

Room was noisy facing towards street and windows not well isolated. Lobby well maintained and rather impressive compaired to what follows in the rooms. Breakfast buffet was extensive and good.

I've stayed in Miami many times at many different hotels. This was the best stay I have ever had. The reason is the staff! Whatever they have done to make this staff be attentive and problem solver it is working. No matter how small the issue, they are there to help. I understand that this Hyatt is in the business district but MOST business men and especially women would like to have a spa and a jacuzzi available to them after a long day of meetings.

hotel location and price is great. but thecarpeting in the rooms are very old and dirty

I had to contact the staff twice for maintenance issues. One for the room safe and one for my key card. The staff went over and above what I would have expected, even finding me at the pool to check in and let me know everything had been taken care of. The service staff was top rate, friendly and fast. rooms are old, and dirty! While the hotel lobby is well maintaned, the hotel is a joke and not even worth a 2 star in my eyes. stay at the double tree in miami instead. The Double Tree is not that far and way more comfortable and rooms are way better!

Arrived to Hotel 9.00 pm. Rooms were not available, because of housekeeping problems!?!? Could get into our room at 1.00 am!!! Becaude of this we got: - free dinner - free wifi - free vallett parking -1st night (1/2 night) was free of charge We got back our money pretty fast on our credit card.

The Concierge and Valets were great, very service friendly and helpful. Other than that the room was less than desirable. Bad floor plan, weird shutter on the closet, tub had to be repaired at check-in, not comfortable setting at all. Renovations definitely needed. I won't be going back.

Hotel is okay, Good location close to Bayside Market Place. The hotel room is a bit outdated. I would still recommend this hotel.

I stayed for the Christmas weekend with my mom and kids. Everything was lovely. At checkin they upgraded one of our rooms to a suite so the 3 kids (2 college, 1 teenager) would be more comfortable. We loved the buffet breakfasts - lots of delicious options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and the small gym. This hotel difenetly needs renovation ,rooms not clean ,valet parking very expensive 30$ per day ,breakfast very good and wort it $18 per person .staff not friendly at all.

As mentioned in some reviews the Hyatt is in need of some refurbishment, particularly the bathrooms, but our room was very clean and very comfortable with a view to die for. The beds are very comfortable at this hotel. We had two double beds. The down comforters and pillows were very nice. There were a few draw backs. There is a College that shares the hotel and its also part of the convention center. So if you are not part of those groups be ready for the morning crowds. The lobby gets very busy and the front desk has […] a hard time even answering the phones. Pleasant staff and easy check in/out. Food is pricey. $22 plus tax per person for breakfast. I suggest a short walk down the street where there are many alternatives for far less. Try Las Palmas for a good homemade cuban breakfast. Very close and convenient to the cruise ship and the Bayfront (mall) is about two long blocks. I would not recommend walking to the cruise ship if you have lots of luggage. Take a cab. Would you consider some literature informing guest how close to a pharmacy they are . Secondly place a recepta cle in room to hold tooth brush.
