Hyatt Regency Riverwalk - San Antonio

PROBABLY STAY AT A COMPEITIOR NEXT TIME. HOUSE KEEPING DIDNT CLEAN ROOM FOR TWO DAYS. THEY CHARGE FOR WIFI AND PARKING.

Great hotel and staff, great location to riverwalk and Alamo.

My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays and this hotel was a wonderful place to stay for the fun time we had while there. It was on the river and all decorated for the holidays. Breakfast was great, service was wonderful. Look forward to our next stay there.

There were times in the afternoon that there was no water in our room---I think this occurred when laundry was being done.

This hotel was very nice and very close to everything you want to do in San Antonio. When you walk out of the hotel doors, either to the street or the riverwalk side, you are in a safe area and very close to lots of good restaurants and things to do. The hotel was very clean and nice. I loved it and I will definitely stay there again and again!

Can walk to just about anywhere. Lots to see and do. Rooms are updated and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel. Right in the heart of San Antonio. The river walk was very attractive. It runs right through the centre of the hotel. Only wished we had more days to stay.

We were very happy with our stay. The Hyatt is in a perfect location, if you go out the front door it's a block away to the Alamo and if you go out the back door ypu are on the Riverwalk, Great Place.

Hotel. Freshly renovated. Pool and fitness center under construction. Would be nice if hotels.com had this kind of info prior to booking.

Great place to stay. Clean and convenient to all riverwalk activities.

Good Location, however the service at the reception was mediocre and one receptionist in particular is just plain rude.

The stay at this hotel was incredible. The staff is very attentive and the rooms are very clean. Its great to be able to stay at these type of places over our vacation.

We booked the Hyatt as a smoking room only to find it is a no smoking hotel. This inconvenienced my wife. Area is gorgeous, although there are far more restaurants than true bars or clubs. We stayed here over Thanksgiving for 3 nights - it was a wonderful experience. The lobby was crazy due to all of the holiday check-ins, but staff did all they could to work efficiently. If you're planning to attend the Holiday Parade on the river next year, buy tickets early, they sold out very quickly. FIrst of all the valet parking guy treated us as if we where in the city for the 1st time in our lives(we have travelled extensively) the thermostate in the room didn t work properly so we froze all night--the beds where hard and not comfortable hard--so therefore with that and the room temp--i didnt get a good nights sleep--it was nice to walk out […] into the river walk--but other than that --no way and never again! Loved the hotel, great staff, wonderful location but...the NOISE!!!! The first night our friends had to deal with children and people ALL NIGHT LONG slamming doors screaming and crying. As the hotel was almost empty Sunday night you would have thought that they would have planned to place the guests who would still be there Sunday night at another end of the hotel, but they didn't. Also beware that many of the rooms have widows out into the center. People looking out thier windows or on the elevators have a direct view into your room. Oh and the sights we saw. This hotel was in the middle of everything. Great location. The room was clean and nice. We only stayed for one night and it was perfect for the river walk. Hotel is under renovation but it appears to be nearly complete. Only the pool and fitness area were closed, but they set up a nice makeshift fitness area in a boardroom on one of the lower floors. Comfortable room, modern decor, great staff, and fantastic location right on the Riverwalk. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my daughter for a long Thanksgiving weekend. This is a beautiful hotel. Just what you would expect from a Hyatt. Accommodating and friendly staff from the valets to the concierge to the housekeeping staff. Everyone seemed concerned we were having a nice visit. This was the best hotel experience I've had outside a Disney Vacation Club […] Resort. And you could not ask for a better location. Once car was parked in garage we didn't need it. Everything you could possibly need is either right outside the door or a short scenic walk away. Go to lobby and you overlook the Riverwalk. Our room was on the other side of the building so we overlooked the Alamo. Could watch the Holiday Parade on river then head to room to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree in the Alamo Plaza. All without being squished in the crowds. The pool and exercise room were under renovation. But they had moved the exercise equipment to a ballroom and had a complimentary shuttle to the Grand Hyatt a few blocks away to use their pool. But with so much to see and do within walking distance we weren't planning on using the pool anyway. The Riverwalk has restaurants offering any fare you could want...all first class. If you like history and architecture you will be outdoors all day taking in the sights. This is a gorgeous place!! We definitely plan to come back next Thanksgiving to see what we missed this time. One thing I did not realize before going there was that San Antonio is on par with Manhattan and San Francisco as far as expensive. And, like those places, you don't need a car. Save the $27+ a day for parking and get a cab from the airport. It's not far. The independent restaurants on the Riverwalk are all pretty pricey, but they are also 4 and 5 star restaurants. You won't find their food just anywhere. You're on vacation...live a little. Just prepare before you get there. Besides, the deal on the hotel at Hotels.com made it a lot easier on the wallet. We were very pleased with our stay at the Hyatt Riverwalk. The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is centrally located to all the restaurants and nightlife. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. Another trip in the near future is definately on our agenda.....

We found everything very satisfactory. Only one improvement could be made on there elevator service, waited a long time every time we needed to use the elevators. Other than that it was awesome.

This was the most perfect River Walk experience. The hotel is gorgeous and situated in the most ideal spot on the River Walk. We felt thoroughly spoiled!

This hotel is located right on the Riverwalk, numerous restaurants were just a short walk from the hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff quite friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the hotel did not offer free internet services.

This hotel is in the perfect location. We had a great view. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Eating in the hotel is expensive, but this is to be expected at nice hotels in great locations. We had a lovely time in San Antonio and hope to go again in the near future. Pat H. / Katy, Texas

We were very happy with our hotel choice - great location, very friendly staff - until we were woken up at 9 am by loud banging from the floor directly above. Upon phoning the front desk to ask what was going on, was told that there was roof top patio maintenance being done from 9 til 5. Later that day went to talk to the front desk and was told they […] were removing rubber stripping and carpenting on the floor above. I asked why they would put anyone in rooms that may be affected by this noise and was told the contractors do not tell them which rooms they are working on and when. ???? The front desk staff were very apologetic and offered to move us to another room but said it really wouldn't be necessary since the room above us should be done. So we stayed. Next morning, the same banging at 9:00 am. We are night owls - this really put a damper on our stay. I do not understand why a hotel that is not full, is in off season, would put guests in any rooms that MAY be affected adversely for any reason. Is it because of the rate I paid for the room? Greatest staff ever. They even helped me with my new iphone altough it took a number of them to figure the problem out. Everyone was polite and helpful... going out of their way to answer questions. Sue

The view was fantastic from the ceiling to floor windows! Great clean room! You are right on the riverwalk and 3 minutes walking from the Alamo!!The breakfast at Q which was included in the rate was the best we had during our ten days in Texas.The only negative is that the valet parking is very expensive and that the pool was closed.

Very nice hotel. Great service. Valet parking was $38.

The hotel was in an excellent location and the rooms were great. The only drawback was that the Gym and pool was under repairs and had they had set up a temporary room with the exercise equipment.

Even if you book a room with two double beds, they will overbook it and make you take a king and a cot. watch out.

Check in was fast, room great overlooking the Alamo. Access to the riverwalk was great... Parking was ok, but tricky.. Park first, before you check in.. Allot less of a hassle.. Over all great stay!!!!!

Booked a king on upper floors. Got to check in and was told they only had a room with 2 doubles, and on first floor. Awoke at 6:30am on a Sat morning to a giant crane parked right outside our window. Daylight revealed we had just spent the night in a bed with dirty sheets (disgusting). The room looked as if it had not been dusted in days. We asked to […] move to different room, and were told there were none available. Left for the day, returning 8 hours later to find that our room had still not been cleaned. They offered us a "complimentary" meal at the restaurant which they then added to my room charges at checkout. Sunday morning at 6:30 the crane started up again! We booked and paid for an Alamo-view King room -- with the "Awaken" package, but this was apparently not communicated to the hotel. When we arrived they had NO king rooms available, and did not have us down for a view room. We had to wait for over an hour for a view room with two doubles to be cleaned before we could check in. Other than the hair that […] was found on one of the beds, the room was clean and comfortable with a great view. Hotel service was friendly and efficient, so no complaints there. While waiting for our room, we enjoyed a cocktail in the restaurant bar overlooking the Riverwalk. I think the hotel should have comped the drinks considering the room was not ready, but they certainly didn't offer to do that. Valet parking is pricy, but only slightly higher than the very expensive self-parking rate, so we opted for valet. The hotel is in a great location on the riverwalk and out the front door you can see the Alamo a block away. They have wi-fi in the hotel, however if you want access in your room you have to pay.

This hotel was close to the Alamo, Riverwalk, great dining and shopping, which explains the number of conventioneers staying there. The bar and restaurants were constantly packed with large groups and there were private receptions everywhere. We've stayed at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk before and couldn't waitto return. The recent renovations mKe the lobby, the bar Q and other areas just stunning. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We arrived three days after the pool closed for refurbishment, and. Shuttle had been arranged to take guests to the nearby Hyatt at the convention […] center. Since we booked thru this site however, we did not find out until just before we left on our trip that the hotel's pool and fitness center would be closed. I happened to be on the hotel website and sW the notice. The fitness center wa moved to several conference rooms, so itt was still technically in operation, but we may have considered a different hotel had we known in advance. The location, at the "entertainment bend" of the river is what drew us, and may draw us back again in the near future! Great location. Staff was always professional and courteous. My sister and I were vacationing and felt safe at the hotel and on the Riverwalk.
