Fireside Inn & Suites - Westbrook

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and felt secure even though I didn't like just a chain and thumb latch--prefer the prong lock over a chain, but not a big deal. I didn't have time to sample the pool (indoor or out) but the indoor pool area was clean.

Clean, comfortable hotel with courteous staff and a reasonable price. A little bit of driving to get to downtown, port, etc. but not any great distance to be sure. The hotel is exceptionally convenient, is clean and relatively quiet, and has a nice restaurant.

The Fireside Inn in Portland, Maine was very easy to find and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was nice and the meal we did have,breakfast, was very good. Service was fast and the food was hot. Thank you

Accomodations were good...comfortable, clean. Pool was nice. Food was really lacking though. Dinner expensive, restaurant could not accommodate guests for dinner due to 'party of 30" that took up all the space. I was very happy to get a last minute reservation at a very good price, and pleased that it was right next to the Rt. 95 entrance so I could make a quick trip in PWM in the morning. It's a homey-cozy kind of place. The coffee and continental breakfast were fair.

Everything was very good. The restruant food was reasonably priced and the entertainment in the lounge was excellant.

Would definitely stay again!

Somewhat older hotel in great shape. Nice sitting area. Didn't eat the breakfast, so I cant comment, but the whoopie pie upon check in was really pretty good. Great service. This hotel was conveniently located near my point of interest. The rooms were large and quaint. The work out facilities were adequate, however the public hot tub could have used a little bit more of cleaning (due to excessive amount of children in the area.) Overall I would recommend this hotel for someone who has young kids.

I would have given this one a 5 if there had been a refrigerator in the room. That is now more of an expectation than something extra. The room was nice, beds comfortable, quiet. Bathroom was small, but had a great shower.

Very conveniently located to the Interstate, a dated hotel that was clean, comfortable , affordable and offered everything I needed for a short stay, including a continental breakfast on the house. Best of all, on check in you get one of the best whoopie pies you ever had as a welcoming gift. .

I was very much impressed on the how clean the room was and the employees were also very friendly, really nice atmosphere. The continental breakfast they offered daily was very good. I would recommend this to all. DB

The heat in the room was either too hot or too cold. The pool is so far from the hot tub it is ridiculous...why bother. Nice people there tho and nice touch with the whoopie pies.

Lived in the area for years and went back to visit...was delightfully surprised. Very nice and helpful staff, lots of little special extras, pool was great...jacuzzi even better. Room was clean and beds super comfy. Rates were super reasonable for all you get. I look forward to coming back and staying longer.

We felt that everyone was trying hard and that the general experience was better than we had anticipated. The room was clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and it was Wuiet. What more could one want?

We stayed here for one night so we could go to a hockey game. The hotel is pretty out-dated, but the boys enjoyed the pool (although my husband thought it was a little cool). With the price of the rooms, I didn't know what to expect from the hotel. We arrived from New Brumswick and was very welcomed. Hotel was very clean, staff friendly and the location was perfect. Absolutely no complaints and will be back. Thank-you!

Woppie Pies upon check in, kids eat free, games for the kids at the front desk, pool, decent continetal breakfast, comfortable beds and great staff...what else could you want. We will definately be staying again the next time we are in Portland.

I felt the hotel was extremely overpriced, for what they had to offer, other than that it was extremely clean, staff friendly. Because of the price I would not reccomend it to anyone.

Das Zimmer war grundsätzlich sauber. Jedoch ist das Hotel total "verlebt". Man sieht, dass seit Jahren nichts mehr dran gemacht wird und man hat den Eindruck, dass alles was kaputt geht, auch kaputt bleibt. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und mit separaten Klimageräten ausgestattet. Leider war im Fernseher nur Schnee zu sehen... Der Wifi Zugang war in Ordnung […] und ausreichend zum surfen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit! Das Frühstück war selbst für Amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr überschaubar. Dafür aber frisch zubereitet! Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Highway Abfahrt und ist so sehr gut zu erreichen, jedoch zu weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt, als dass man irgendwas zu Fuß machen könnte. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass man hier auf der Durchreise gut und mit ruhigem gewissen übernachten kann. Für einen Urlaub oder einen längeren Aufenthalt ist das Hotel nix (mehr)! Demenderait des réparations dans les chambres mais pour le prix c'est bien, bon déjeuner avec des toasts car au USA il n'y a pas de taost dans les restaurants pourtant toast est en anglais. Pour la picine c'est bien.
