Mandarin Oriental San Francisco - San Francisco

I would recommend this lovely hotel to others, however they are in the prossive of experiencing a massive renovation which is greatly needed. Lovely rooms, about 25 years out dated. Looking forward to seeing the new Mandarian Oriental!

Our hotel stay was fabulous. Our view from our room and the staff was worth every penny. The staff found ways to make our 30th wedding anniversary very special. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. From the time of check in until our departure we have encountered the best and most friendly staff. We were upgraded to corner rooms with the most amazing view of the city and the bay. We were welcome with a pot of their special holiday tea in our room. This mandarin is the worst i lived in the world. So old! the elevator and room looks like 1970s.

It was our first stay there and we loved it. We had a premium suite with a great view of the city looking East and South. Bay Bridge view was wonderful. It was the quietest hotel room I have EVER been in. If you want rest, this is your hotel. Service was on-par with other five-stars, maybe a bit better. Mandarin Oriental in San Francisco - The toilet was slow to flush and needed to be flushed at least twice. The shower drain had to be held down to keep the water flowing. For the price I expected more. However, the concierge provided excellent service.

This hotel does an excellent job of providing service to clients. Everyone from valet, check-in attendant, and concierge provided top quality service. The rooms are immaculate with amazing views of the Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower, and the bay! The afternoon tea is a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!

This was the nicest hotel I stayed at. The staff was extraordinarily polite and accommodating. The room was a perfect size and layout! The view was quite awesome and everything just worked out perfectly...

First off, let me say this is a nice hotel. We had a room on the 46th floor overlooking the Bay Bridge, gorgeous view and very comfortable. Not real gripes against the place, but for the price you pay, you expect a wow factor that the Mandarin just doesn't have.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and very private--never heard a peep from a neighbor.

If you do nothing else. Just take the elevator to any of the upper floors, step out and just enjoy the view. OUTSTANDING! Parking is the only issue. $40+ a night, but it is SF.

This is indeed the perfect 5 Star Hotel. It isn't cheap, but it is the very best hotel I have ever stayed in in a city atmosphere. The views from the 45th floor of San Francisco were inreal, and when the Giants won on Friday night we were treated to a fireworks show at eye level-- outstanding, romantic, terrific for a special treat.

In this economy, you gotta get what you paid for. In the case of staying at this hotel, you certainly do. Stayed on the 45th floor with the panoramic view on labor day weekend. We stayed at this room for four nights. The Bay View Room was amazing. There is an awesome view of the Bay. The service was great. The concierge was helpful getting us a rent car, reservations, and shuttles. Could not have asked for anything more from this hotel. If you are trying to decide, my wife and I loved this hotel.

It was a nice hotel. Complementary tea putting in the special basket was wonderful and service was very good. I stayed at 41st floor and the view was spectacle. The interior waa a perfect oriental style.

Great view of city and Twin Peaks/Sutro Tower. Maid service very attentive with turn-down service nightly. Room clean esp bathroom. Furnishings and bed in good condition (well-kept up). Fabulous view of SF bay, Alcatraz, Coit Tower and an unobstructed view of the Transamerica Bldg from the huge picture windows in the hallway to the room! A cup of coffee with refills was $5.00 and breakfast with tax and tip would have been about $37. A 5 course tasting dinner menu was $95 per person. The hotel is within walking distance of the Ferry Bldg, home to cheese shops, Acme Bakery, produce stores and many excellent restaurants, such as The Slanted Door and Hog Island Oysters. I was in town for a meeting and also for a friend's 40th birthday party. This was my first experience staying at the hotel and I was extremely satisfied. I arrived early in the day (approx 11:00am) and even though I was arrived well before the stated check-in time, the hotel personnel made every effort to check me in. The view from my room was absolutely gorgeous - friends came back to my room to hang out and watch the view as the sun set. Also, every time I passed a hotel employee they addressed me by name! My husband and I stayed at the Mandarin for the last night of our honeymoon (we traveled many cities versus going just one place) and could not be more pleased. It had been ten days of travel, and we were tired when we checked in. Probably looked as tired as we felt. However, the staff treated as like royalty. They had our room ready for early check-in […] but had offered to hold our bags if it wasn't. Everyone we encountered was polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and offered the best view available in SF. I don't believe there are as many restaurants within walking distance as other areas, and those around close fairly early. Amazing view, really spectacular bed and they treated us like royalty. The service and the food was impecable. Only thing is they dont have pay per view and just ran up a box of DVDs for us to choose from which seemed sort of not so posh.

Estaban remodelando la entrada del hotel, pero nos dieron una habitacion mejor. El personal y su atencion excelente. Nada que criticar. Hermosa y completa habitacion y excelente vista.

Sehr schönes Zimmer mit grandioser Aussicht auf San Francisco. Der Umstand, dass sowohl der Pool als auch das Spa- und erweiterte Fitness-Angebot ausserhalb des Hotels - gegen Gebühr!? - benutzt werden müssen, ist für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel (in gewissen Reise-Katalogen sogar 6-Sterne-Hotel) schlicht und einfach nicht akzeptabel!!
