Great hotel, the staff was excellent very helpful the room was was excellent, didn't find the location of the hotel to be all that great but the area was nice. The Fairmont did such a super job we ended up staying an extra day. We did have to change rooms as maintenance had been scheduled for the first room. They did move all of our belongings. The staff were very courteous. We ate at the bar one evening and the food was delicious. Hotel is in the business area. I guess that's why we got a good deal on weekend. Jumba Juice and Starbucks across the street. $28/day for valet parking, Hybrid car gets free parking. No Self-park option. Hotel has oldie grand ambiance. Not like bright grand like other Fairmont we've been through. This hotel is truly a sleeper. Everything about this place is good. I will use this hotl exclusively when I am in the area

Everything about the hotel was terrific. If you're in Newport Beach, Irvine area, be sure to consider it as a top flight option. Great value.

The Staff is always so accomodating and friendly. Makes the stay all the more pleasant.

Located in a business park, but close to some restaurants, the airport, and Balboa Island. The staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom and room were large, the spa was small, but good and the food in the restaurant was great!!!

$28 per day valet parking is required since the hotel has NO public or overnighjt parking. What a rip off since they do not diosclose this when you book a room through hotels.com and you only find out when you arrive

The NB Fairmont is a fabulous hotel and their weekend special rate was below far lesser hotels. BUT, why is it that low end hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, and many places can offer FREE WiFi for their customers, but a hotel like Fairmont feels compelled to charge $16/day for it? Leaves a very bad taste....Come on, 90+% of your customers expect this, […] stop gouging them! Also, was not thrilled that the ONLY parking offered at this site was Valet, at $14/day. The staff is generally accommodating and efficient. A special cudos to the valet staff - friendly and helpful. Close to airport and freeways.

This is a lovely hotel, but when we had to evacuate at 6:00 in the morning due to an electrical fire, it was a tad inconvenient. I would have expected some type of consideration for the inconvenience. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, it was a fine hotel.

A fire alarm went off in the hotel at 6;18am, but there were no instructions, the phone did not work and we were left to wonder what to do. When I later checked out of the hotel I was told that floors 1 thru 4 had been evacuated but I was on the fifth floor and no one told us anything of what to do yet there was smoke and/or a fire in the hotel. We were treated very well, the room was very nice and super comfortable, and the overall property was top notch. Only problem was a sewage smell coming from either the shower or toilet; couldn't quite tell the source. We mentioned it to the front desk, and they said they would have an engineer look at it. i was very disappointment with the hotel booking of a smoking room, got a conformation of smoking room in writing and when i got there they said there sold out and rooms that have balcony cost much more. the assistant manager of the hotel did not accommodate me when he had the option .sorry that's just not a 4*hotel

This hotel is a sleeper. Maybe it was because of our stay was on a weekend at a facility gear for weekday business, but it was great. The room was nice nothing fancy but spacous and very comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were very nice, the excercise room was also very nice. Wanted something closer to the Beach/Harbor but nothing was available, and […] !, were overpriced. I highly recommend the Fairmont Newport Beach if business or pleasure takes you to SoCal. Convenient access to airports and other attractions, this property exceeded expectations in everyway. Food/service/spa/etc. were first rate, and I look forward to the opportunity to return in the near future.

The hotel was gorgeous and I felt pretty fancy staying there. The heated pool was great and the cabanas just added to it. The things you should be aware of is: 1) Its valet only $28 per night and 2) they put $100 on a card for the valet or room service or whatever charges you make BUT it takes a week+ to go back onto your card or you can receive the […] cash instead at checkout. We really enjoyed this hotel. The staff were 1st rate - from check-in, to the restaurant, the shop, wait staff, the bell personnel to house keeping - all were very professional and incredibly friendly. We would absolutely stay there again! Clean, clean, clean!

we got 1/2 off our parking, $25 to use in the spa and $15 food credit in the hotel.

Overall great hotel. Fireplace was not available to us during the weekend as there was a function. Would have been nice if there was another place we could have gone to avail of it. Nice of hotel to comp our valet parking.

this hotel was very nice and clean and the pool was the best part large towels and lemon water outside for you and tv's in the cabana's for you the only thing i did not like about the hotel is that it is right across from the airport and is very loud but would be great for someone who is catching a flight or just coming for a flight
