Hilton Crystal City at National Airport - Arlington

Convenienent location. The rooms were quite small & the atmosphere of the hotel was bland & the location was noisey. However the hotel was clean. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

This hotel works hard to take care of all the things you'd expect, and adds a few pleasant surprises. The rooms are clean and have most of the amenities you expect, and they all work. Excellent hotel. The only issue is that they take too much time to remove your floating credit card balance. I checked out 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the floating balance to be removed.

Chief complaint- no Wifi. I paid for access, but the internet speed was so poor that I couldn't download what I needed...even though I let it go for HOURS. Wifi is just sort of a given now, isn't it? I had the pleasure of staying at the Hilton for nearly 2 weeks and cannot say I didn't enjoy it. The fact I'm a Hilton Honors member really helped on expenses. great location and price for stay.Close to lots of restaurants.Taxi service & close to the Metro.The front desk & guy at the front door was very helpful.

Stayed for 3 nights and was awoken every night by a loud noise coming from either the roof or street side. It would start at around midnight, until about 4:00 a.m.

Very good hotel for the price. We loved all of the selections of food within walking distance. It was also close enough to the Metro. We would definitely stay here again. There is no hot tub, only a pool and the running elevator could be heard all night from our room.

Clean and comfortable and the price was good, but nothing in the ad warned me of the high cost of parking or the fact that the entire hotel was non-smoking property! Also not easy to connect to Internet services inside the hotel. Had to ask staff to replace coffeemaker since it did not work properly.

Hotel was a great deal for less than $100/night. Arrived late but everything went quickly at check-in. Very close (walking distance) and convenient location. Staff very friendly.

Just a few blocks from the Crystal City Metro stop. Excellent value. The only thing was there was no washcloth in my room until I asked for one (after one night stay and one round of room cleaning). Everything else was fine.

this hotel is poorly located and there is no street parking, so be prepared to pay 24.00 for an over your night stay, at this location i thought the over services was just avg.

When booking a good rate on the room, make note of the $24/nt overnight parking chg.

Note the the Hilton Honors VIP services are not provided on weekends.

Your room rate is high enough so you don't have to charge an exorbitant $12.95 a day for miserable WiFi service. Comeon----if Motel 8 can charge 1/3 what you do for a room and throw in free WiFi, you don't have to pile on the extra charges!

It wasn't the best hotel I stayed in but for the price it was nice. The location was great we walked to eat dinner and get Starbucks. Just a short drive to DC.

Easily accessible by Meto. You can get wherever you want to go on the Metro. Also lots of nearby cafes and restaurants. Safe. Hotel staff is polite and well-trained.

What has happened to Hilton hotels? This place is no where near what you would expect at a Hilton. The room was not very clean, very small and in need of a major re-do.

The rooms are very nice size and a great view for my 6 grandnieces/nephews who were visiting the DC area for the first time. Had a little issue with the parking card but it was resolved very quickly.

Great hotel. Very reasonable price, excellent staff, clean comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Upper-end quality very near the airport and subway. Not good for walking around as that area is a concrete jungle. So wonderful for those with business in the area but not so good for a family vacation -- unless you hop on the subway. But for our purposes, where we had business close by, it was just what we wanted.

Easy check-in and check-out. Good location to restaurants and metro. They had an excellent shuttle and the parking was only $24. The only negative is that the walls are thin and the floor in the room was wet near a desk. The bed was very comfy!

The shuttle took over 30-min to get to the airport for pickup. I even called when I landed - so that was a disappointing start. No wireless - had to use a cable for internet. Not a huge deal. on property F&B was boring - but good location with Chilis and Walgreens across street for convenience.

Harold (I can't recall his last name and am not sure of his exact title.) who I believe was a member of the hotel management team happened to be "working" the lobby last Thur (7/29/2011). I ask several general guestion about the area, eateries, etc. He went out of his way to provide information. He even stated he would leave me some additional information […] in my room. When I returend from my day indeed Harold (and or Team) left me a package which was high lighted and tabbed with key areas he suggested I (we) visit. Indeed an extraordinary personal touch. Virtually all hotels in Crystal City are close to the action. Hilton is adjacent to but not part of Crystal City shopping. However, it is within easy walking distance, most of which is inside. The shopping consists of a few small boutiques (no anchors) and many restaurants and cafes to service the lunch crowds. There are major restaurants such as Ruth […] Chris, Morton's, Legal Sea Foods, Morgan and Schmicks, as well as restaurant row on 23rd Street consisting of many smaller bistros. Hilton has a small lap pool on the 12th floor with a small sun deck. The gym is small, but adequate, with chilled towels, headphones in case you forgot yours, and TV's for each workout machine. The room was adequate. However, while Internet is listed, it is $3.95/hour or !4.95/day. The major convenience missing was a refrigerator. Parking is pricey at $24 per day. We arrived late at night from Reagan airport, which is very close by. The parking garage underneath is extremely cramped and it was difficult to maneuver my car (a family sedan). Additionally, the garage was not well-lit and looked unkempt (I know it's a garage, but it was downright creepy in appearance). The elevator brought us to the lobby, which […] was, like the rooms, immaculate. We were greeted by a desk with only one staff member and a line (at midnight). The system appeared to be out-of-date and was quite slow, so once our turn came, it took about fifteen minutes to check in. The clerk then informed us that the two requests we had made more than six weeks ahead, i.e. a room on a lower floor, and with a refrigerator, could not be met and that we could switch later. Given that I suffer from extreme acrophobia and my traveling companion has a metabolic disorder requiring a supplement that must be refrigerated, this was not a good start. The clerk then attempted to give us one key, though two of us were standing there, and we had to request a second. When we arrived in our room, it was extremely clean, well-kept, and comfortable, right on par for Hilton. The next morning, we requested to switch rooms and obtain a refrigerator; both requests were met, but the clerk was less than friendly and said we'd get a refrigerator (if they have one available)...keep in mind the reason for the refrigerator and the fact that this was requested more than a month in advance. The second room was similarly clean and comfortable, and the refrigerator was present upon our return later that day. The only problem was that the air conditioning unit was not in the best condition; it was unable to keep the room cool at first; the next day onwards, it worked better but was extremely raucous each time it kicked on (enough to wake us up several times each night). Parking at this hotel is difficult for any vehicle larger than compact. The tight turns and short narrow painted spaces create a challenge. Also to be aware of is the low ceiling on all three levels.
