We wanted a king size bed and we had to be put in 3 different rooms because the first 2 had problems

hotel is under new management the staff is very nice the room was clean but verrrrry run down terrible beds burn holes in blankets water stains in ceiling , in dire need of bieng painted and was 10 dollars more then days inn in fishkill ny which has a gym was clean and very nice with comfortable beds .

The bedspread was stained and dirty. The sheets had holes in them. The towels are kinda scratchy! I think Barton Fink stayed here.

We were there for my son's graduation. The owners were VERY NICE. Breakfast was very basic, doughnut, 24 hours coffee, tea, bagel, When you turn the hotwater, cold water comes out, and when you turn knob for cold water, hot water comes out. The bathroom knob is not working, but they fixed it right away. The microwave is far from the outlet.

`This had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I think it is part of a welfare housing group. It smelled terrible. To be honest , I am surprised its even listed on Hotels.com I booked 2 nights. Didnt even stay. Just handed my key in and left. The star rating was a total joke. The room smelled of mildew and skunk. The DVD player was bolted to the furniture using iron bands. The armchair was torn, shabby, dirty, and generally disgusting. Outward appearance made us apprehensive to go in but staff was very nice, room was outdated and a little run down but clean, and the breakfast was fresh and outstanding for what we needed!

No restaurant as listed in amenities No hair dryer, ironing board, iron Comforter and blanket had holes in them Mold on exterior of shower curtain TV remote was not in the room-had to call the desk and go to the office to pick it up Would never stay there again.

The Hotel is conveniently located to Marist College, that's why we booked it. The bed is pretty comfortable, but the blanket is very thin and worn. 24 hour offering of tea and coffee in the lobby was nice and the staff was very friendly.

My wife very unhappy and says no to any return. Staff OK but not the friendliest.

This hotel is ok but dated. I was little bit dissatisfied with furnishings. They were old and dated & the TV convertor was bolted to the furniture with plumbers tape. better choices in area but stay if you have to.

I would not recommend this hotel. The condition of the hotel was not good. Mold, etc.

The Poughkeepsie Inn is a single-story motel off a commercial strip. Each room has one picture window overlooking the sidewalk in front of the room (and your car). So modesty requires either that you stay fully dressed, or that you close the opaque curtains -- there are no translucent sheers. My Wife and I stayed in August, 2011. Checking in, the front desk person was short and more concerned about talking on her cell phone than checking us in. Seems the day attendants are both like that. Too busy on the internet or cell phone and disgusted when we interupted them to ask a question. The room was clean, except for the cigarette burns on the […] bathroom sink. A/C worked great! The bed will soft and very low, was comfortable and we slept through the night. Continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Overall, for the price, we managed to get through the one night. Okay for one night stay. This is the old Econo Lodge, name still appears throughout hotel. Not a bad odor but not pleasant either. Front desk reps were very nice

We usually stay in the cheapest room available. When you do that you can't expect five star service. The room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was marginal. Overall we were pleased.

This hotel had a very nice staff, but the other guests tended to congregate and party in the parking lot. The refrigerator did not work and there was no iron in the room. The sheets were threadbare and there was a hole in the comforter. The TV was tiny, and the bathroom cleanliness was a bit sketchy. When we pulled up to the motel on the afternoon ofa 100+ F day, I was worried because the outside needs some spiffing up. However, the room was clean, basic and nice. The continental breakfast was great and the TV room where you eat it was very nice. The staff was great and you can't beat 24 hour free coffee! It was well worth the price. Close to Hyde Park and FDR historic sites. Some staff were helpful, some not so much. The room was pretty grungy. If you don't mind that, it was at least a good price for the area.

Nothing really special here, but for the price your paying you get a clean room, a helpful staff, and convenient location. The bed is a bit hard, and you have to go to the lobby for coffee, but the continental breakfast is what is to be expected, and you can't beat the price for the location. Overall a good value clean and comfortable, though a bit dated.

This older hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the manager was very friendly and helpful. We ended up here, because all other hotels in the area were sold out, and we were pleasantly surprised. The wireless internet connection was unreliable in our room, but it was just fine in the lobby. a bare bones room, and the cable box is bolted down, but other than that serviceable. If you have to stay longer and can afford a more expensive room, you may consider that. If you cannot, there are much worse alternatives.

There are so many other nice, affordable hotels in the area that there's no reason to suffer through the noise, beer-throwing at night, unsanitary conditions of this "inn"

If you need a place with comfort bed and hot shower this is the place ,fit the price you pay.

I stayed here for a night with a couple of friends after going to a show at the Chance Theater. Don't be fooled by the outside look of the hotel; the rooms are spotless. The beds were fine for one night. My one complaint about the room itself was a lack of pillows. The "breakfast" was terrible, however. Stale bagels and burnt coffee. I guess I'm spoiled […] from Long Island with my bagels. There's an Ihop across the street though, which can more than satisfy a breakfast hunger Overall, for a single night, we couldn't have gotten a better rate, instead of spending twice as much at the Courtyard down the street. Was everything as expected for a 2-star hotel. Room was nice, bathroom was a little small, but overall was OK. Even for a non-smoking room, the smell of cigarette smoke was present in the air. It's a standard 1970's "econolodge" style hotel that, most likely, was rebranded to a private ownership. I just stayed overnight for my travelling, and was fine. […] Only 3 minutes from the Poughkeepsie Train Station and parking garage. However, you need to head in the opposite direction from the station then take a U-turn at a light about a half-mile down, then back track to the station. Although this room wassufficient for our needs - a place to sleep for a night - one of the beds was quite uncomfortable - felt like the mattress was collapsing - and it was extremely noisy. We heard the conversations of guests in our surrounding rooms and the sound of the shower in the nmorning actually woke us up.

When I made the reservation, I booked a room at the Poughkeepsie Inn. Sounded nice. When I got there, it was the old Econolodge, just rebranded. They haven't even replaced the sign. Room was adequate, but the other hotel guests looked like full-timers. Drinking and partying in the parking lot. Police cars parked out front (not a good sign).
