Red Roof Inn Toledo - University - Toledo

My original reservation was for 2 nights but decided to leave early. The hotel it self was okay but we did not feel safe where we were located.

If you just need a reasonably priced place to stay close to UT campus, this is it. The room was a bit small, and I would have preferred queen size beds, rather than full-size, to accomodate three people. The bathroom was small but very clean. We requested a non-smoking room, but there was a faint odor of smoke when we walked it; this may be an issue […] with the ventilation system, and it wasn't overpowering. Actually for the cost of the motel, it was a bargain. Quiet area, close to shopping center, grocery and University of Toledo. Good spot.

great inn, besides Ohio sales tax price was ok. bed was not good. perfect for kids but adults might as well sleep on floor. floors clean anyway!!

The accomodations were acceptable for the relatively reasonable price. The non-smoking room I stayed in thankfully wasn't smoked in and smelled relatively fresh. The only issue I did have was the fact that the room prepared by Sharonda (according to the name on the maid service card) couldn't have been cleaned extremely well considering I found a pair […] of socks from a previous resident between the bed and the night stand, and a partially used bar of soap still in the shower. My 2 daughters and I stayed overnight at this motel while visiting the University of Toledo. The room was comfortable and quiet, just what we needed. Nothing fancy but we were just sleeping there one night. The price was very reasonable and the location convenient for our needs. Also there were plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner. My only complaint […] was I had to request more towels because there were only a set for 2 people. A light breakfast where we could grab a bagel or donut before heading out would have been nice too. Friendly staff, clean & comfortable room with basic amenities. Close to freeway, food, shops, UT.

Excellent value for the price. Room cozy, neat and clean.

We had a very enjoyable evening. It's not a fancy hotel, but we needed a place to stay in a safe neighborhood for a conference. It worked out very well. The hotel staff was wonderful and kind.

Great fairly priced hotel for a stay if you're going to an event at the Huntington center. Only thing that could be improved is there is one packet of shampoo and two small bars of soap.

First the website said the hotel had pool which in fact it did not, tihe mattress in the room looked as if fifty they were fifty years old, when you layed down on them they were so sunken in the middle you rolled into the middle of the bed. The bottem of the bathtub was so filthy i refused to put my son in it to take a bath. Good choice for an overnight stay on the way back from a trip to Florida.

My husband and I were very please with our stay. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very pleasant. We would definitely stay at this location again.

For a one night stay it was very nice. The people were very kind and the location was very convenient. My only complaint would be that the bottom of the shower curtain was pretty moldy. They should be changed or cleaned more often.

This is an Econolodge with Red Roof signage. I was not comfortable evening removing my shoes. I've stayed at other Red Roofs and I know what I'm getting into with a 2-star hotel rating. This specific location should not have 2-stars.

Clean Room, helpful courteous Staff, very convenient locatiuon

This was a the type of hotel I would only like to stay in for one or two nights maximum. Very small bathroom and room.

Great location for University of Toldeo. 10 minute drive tops. The mattress was very uncomfortable though.

Hotel was very clean and the service was very good. I had a unique arrival situation and had to make a change in which they understood and was very helpful with helping meet my needs.

Of the economy hotels...I usually avoid because of cleanliness, and lack of updates.....I k.ow I can stay here and receive an excellent value, clean, updated room. Thanks!

Slight odor......seemed as though it might have been a smoking room and there was an attempt to mask the smell. Not terribly bad though.

Red Roof Inns are pretty basic so we were expecting that. We stayed there because it was closest to the 50th birthday we were going to. It was better than I expected. Clean, well maintained, we had a king room and it had a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Reasonable price, I'd stay again.

The hotel was very close to the event but the room had that "bleach" sort of smell to it. The AC blows directly on you in the nearest bed and no way to redirect. The staff was fine and they had the booking correct but I would look for a different room next time and I probably would overlook Red Roof inns next time as a First choice.

Our hotel stay was great. Maid service was very kind and very friendly as well as the front desk. Nice room for what we paid. Great location as well!

my only gripe is that there was only one vending area and it was at the front of the building. I was staying all the way in the back, so it was kind of annoying to have to walk that far to get ice. Other than that I was satisfied with the room and the staff.

This room was horrible, the bathroom was very smelly and it looks like they don't clean it thoroughly. The room had a stench of urine. The room air conditioner was not great and couldn't be controlled properly.

I've stayed here at least two times prior and for the money, it's a great place. If were asked " What I would like different from my room ? " I'd have to say " More cable channels on the T.V." Other than that, the Red Roof Inn was perfect for my stay in Toledo

First of all, the Staff was very accomodating, professional, and helpful. And, the morning coffee (free) a nice treat. The room was clean and the middle to upper class neighborhood had a lot to offer, such as, Shopping malls, Banks, Restaurants of every kind, movies and local entertainment. Room was what I expected and less: Decent bed and sheets Two towels One small packet of Shampoo - no conditioner No ironing board or iron No hair dryer, which we didn't discover until my wife went to dry her hair after showering. Overall - a little less than what I expected from an economy motel. It's not a major investment to put some cheap hair dryers and ironing boards in the rooms and do a little upkeep. * Staff was friendly. * Free parking and plenty of it. * Free Wi-Fi and the signal strength was excellent. * Very close to UT, Franklin Park mall and highway 475. * Plenty of restaurants nearby. Great place to stay in Toledo.

Got a room over Saturday night to run the Glass City Marathon the following morning. The room was clean but REEKED of some bleach-based cleaning product. Gave us headaches. Unfortunately, the hotel was full due to the marathon weekend so I couldn't get a room switch, but it was as if the carpet had been soaked. Unfortunately, the windows do not open […] (what the heck, Red Roof Inn?!), but even turning on the fan in the bathroom and leaving the door open with the air-conditioner/heater "fan only" option running for 3 hours didn't do anything to clear out the smell. If I hadn't pre-booked and prepaid on Hotels.com, I probably would have asked for a refund and gone elsewhere.... which was a real bummer, because the hotel seemed to be a very good value for the price -- clean (overly, heh), with decent beds and a clean bathroom. Very pleasant front desk staff, conveniently located right off the highway, close to many shops, stores and restaurants. Reasonable rates, great location.

I was not at all pleased with this hotel. The beds are very worn out and not comfortable. I actually had to put both pillows in one pillow case because they are completely worn out as well. The TV was broken and either was very loud or too low and not able to be adjusted to a comfortable level. The heater also didn't adjust well and the room was a sweat […] box. Then, even though the reservation was pre-paid, there was a mix up and they actually checked me out a day early with my belongings in the room and made a new reservation that they wanted me to pay for again to get access to the room. I refused, and after several phone calls by the clerk, I got the room keys back. This hotel just needs work. The desk clerks were ok ... not great, but just ok, and the hotel was crap. The hotel proports to promise a make it right but that is so far from the truth. The staff is pleasent but when I reported that I could not carry my bags to the room they assigned the desk clerk offered the only cart located in the front of the hotel and I was in the furthest point in the back on the second floor. In addition, the televsion had a loud […] buzz and did not operate on all of the channels. Finally, I had a guest directly above me who was fighting and when I complained of the noise, the clerk asked me to call the police. They could not pay me enough to return to this dive!
