Very basic hotel. Location very close to the Old Street metro station and good bus connections. Friendly service and clean rooms. Breakfast included in the price could be better.

Good hotel, close to shoreditch nightlife didn't notice any street noise either.

*first hotel that we had to pay for wi-fi everyday *first person that we met at desk was very rude *toilet would not flush properly and asked to have it fixed and no one did anything *heating/cooling unit was very noisy all night and no one would look at it. *Horrible pillows *fold out bed was the most uncomfortable

The hotel was super-clean, very modern fixtures. The bathroom was amazing! Just enough room for four, but the sofabed was a bit lumpy and the mattress was a little slumpy. Not much room for suitcases and no drawers. Some really nice restaurants around the corner, and close to the tube.

As a family of four we could share one room. The extra bed was not that good but it worked. The actual room was impressive with compared to the normal standard in UK. The bathroom seemed newly done. overall a good hotel, a 3 min walk to Old St underground station. Room was on the smaller side especially for our family of 4, room was very clean, decent breakfast.

The room is tidy and comfortable and location is very well, which is within 5 min walk from old street tube station. However, the room is too small, after placing the extra bed in the room, the table cannot be used unless you sit on the extra bed. There is no free wifi in the room. The breakfast is good. In general it is good.

The room was very clean and tidy. In fact the shower glass was so clean and clear that I bumped my head because I thought the door was open! For breakfast there was a good selection of cereals, breads and fruit. The hot counter could have done with some bacon and a few more items like tomatoes and mushrooms. The hotel and its staff were great. Open buffet in the morning was another plus, except that there weren't too many things I liked to it, but then again, it's an open buffet in a hotel, not some custom made restaurant. After spending a week in chic boutique hotels in Paris, the Holiday Inn in London City felt very cookie cutter and unexciting. Having said that. the rooms are nice and clean and breakfasts are good. It is on the outskirts of the the Business District - which looks central enough on the map - but it is still more then a few stops on the tube and the 7 minute walk from Olds Station to the hotel is -while seemingly safe, it is not pleasant at all and not recommended if you have small children in tow as the area is surrounded by alot of bars and what looks like social housing along the way. A clean, if small room with lovely shower facilities and excellent friendly staff were all we wanted for our short London stay. We got this and more and found some excellent restaurants nearby too in Hoxton Square. The nearby tube station at Old Street made travelling to and from our hotel very easy and relatively inexpensive.

No frills but very clean and comfortable. Our bed was a tad soft but still big enough and comfy enough. Perfect for a weekend...your standard business trip kind of hotel. Close to where we needed to be. Staff was very helpful.

This was our first visit to London, so it is difficult for me to review the hotel relative to what else is available in the city. Very Couteous staff. Checked in 4 hours before the normal check in time at 1400 hours. Was accomodated. Conveniently located near the Old Street Tube Station (Northern Line).

This hotel far exceeded my expectations for our family trip w/9 yr old daughter to LON. The staff was unfailingly friendly & helpful, the room spotlessly clean & very quiet, the breakfast filling & adequate, the location quite convenient, and the price through Hotels.com very reasonable. In room lighting was smart, decor is fresh, bath (w/shower only) was tiny but well-arranged. One night we ordered an in-room movie & there was a problem w/the volume so the front-desk staff removed the charge from my bill without a hassle. In fact this was a no-hassle hotel. The only challenge we had was the nearby tube stop - Old St. - was having maintenance done over the weekend & we couldn't use it so had a longer walk to/from either Liverpool St. Station or Angel. The Good: The room was very clean, spacious and modern by affordable London hotel standards. No complaints besides the fact that our room was right beside the doors leading to the elevators so we heard people coming and going all the time. Nit a great experience but that is a pure luck of the draw on the room issue. Lots of cool bars / decent restaurants […] nearby and only a 5 minute walk to the Tube. The Bad: The hotel staff, while friendly, do not really care much. During our stay the elevator broke down. These things happen. The staff took the time to put a sign on the loby elevator doors telling people that the lift was out of order. They did not however think it was important to put a sign on the elevator doors on the floors above. Needless to say customers looking to go down waited a while before figuring it out. Nice. The UGLY: The service the hotel uses for their taxi service is HORRIBLE. When I called to reserve a taxi the previous evening for a 6:30 pickup I was told no problem. When I asked to make sure they took credit cards I was assured this was fine. At 6:45 AM - still no taxi. I called and one did show up quickly. However, they did nit take credit cards. When I told the driver I had explicitly asked about this he told me we could stop at a bank machine and I could withdraw funds on my credit card to pay for a cab. Nice. We booked a double bed, standard, non-smoking room. The hotel was fully booked and we were informed that they only have a twin bed, smoking room! Didn't know one could still get smoking rooms. From check in to check out the staff here were excellent and couldnt do enough to help. We shared a room as two adults and two children so had a double bed and the sofa bed made up to another double, this made it a bit cramped but not to bad. Good hotel close to central london. Clean, comfortable beds, quiet in my room at back of hotel and nice breakfast. What more could u ask for. Only problem was price went up a lot when I tried to book it again for the middle of May!! -so didnt.

We stayed here overnight on a weekend trip to London. We thought the location was fantastic, close to Euston station, 100 yards from tube, and bus to waterloo goes from right oufside hotel, We got a very warm welcome on arrival, from the reception staff. Hotel rooms did not have air conditioning for a expensive hotel.................. would not stay there on future visits!!

The reason why it got marked down for comfort was because there was no AC and it would have been nice during the day when it was warm and we were coming back from walking around, but there was a fan, so we just kept the window open. Det fanns inte mycket i området kring hotellet, men det är ju nära till Underground/buss. I övrigt är vi nöjda med hotellet, bra standard på rummet och extra plus för toa/dusch, frukosten var ju helt OK, det kunde ju finnas något mer pålägg än marmelad/smör t ex färdiga ostskivor.

Vi var mycket nöjda med hotellet. Fina rum, helkaklade/klinkers badrum, ok frukost för att vara England....dock inte som sverige såklart, trevlig och hjälpsam personal.
