Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Downtown - Washington

Great location and good sevice, but there were some problems. My parents couldn't sleep because of the noisy from heating and crazy drivers outside. Big but old room. It wasn't terrible, but i would look for another hotel next time. If you don't care noisy, then this hotel would be goodconsidering service and location.

I found this hotel to be in a nice central area in DC. The staff was very attentive and friendly. My room was very comfortable. The only downsides are that the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke-- the room itself smelled fine thankfully. And it's not really within walking distance of the White House and the monuments.

The room was Awesome ... the only bad thing I would say about the hotel is they didn't carry our brand of beer which is Budlight and Ultra. Other than that the stay was good little breezy in the front door way but do to the cold that is comon sense. Had a nice fire place ... The room was QUIET and was a very nice size. Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, iron etc. Flat screen including HBO. Nice restaurant on premises. Staff is amazing. Location is the best. METRO across the street. Even has a fitness center and pool.

And a great location. Very clean. Staff wasn't the friendliest, but that generally doesn't bother me. It's a nice hotel in a great location at a reasonable price.

The hotel was comfortable, at a fair price, and convenient to our tour of the White House. Parking was a little steep, but not so much as other hotels in the neighborhood. We enjoyed out short visit to our Nation's Capitol!

Right across the street from Mcpherson Square Metro stop on the blue and orange line. Perfect for taking the train to Smithsonian and the various national museums and Fedex Field. Very nice, friendly staff. Good breakfast though a bit pricey so if you're strapped for cash go next door to Cosi. Very nice, large rooms.

This hotel has so many positive points it is hard to know where to start. The desk clerks and the doormen were welcoming when we arrived. The Metro is directly across the street which is very convenient if you take the train or fly to DC. There are plenty of nearby bars and restaurants from high priced dinners to drinks and appetizers. A nice hotel to stay when looking for somewhere close to the sites. In walking distance to the White House and all the monuments. Great price as well.

The Hilton Garden is located on 14th Street. Anywhere you need to be in Downtown DC is within a walk, bike ride or taxi away. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and the staff was great.

Cleaning the rooms sometimes took until late in the afternoon, despite being out all day and notifying house cleaning. This was the one main detractor. Otherwise it was a comfortable hotel and reasonably well located.

I stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend. The room requested was with two double beds and at the the price paid was extreemly good value for money. I have seen other reviews with prices greatly in excess of what we paid through Expedia. The hotel was excellent. It was very quiet but no view which suited us. The staff were very helpful and breakfast good. Make sure you only pay for what you eat. Cannot comment on the dinner menu as ate away from the hotel. Title says it all. Stayed for an entire week. Staff was freindly. The Metro is directly across the street which makes it very convenient .

The Hilton Garden inn was a wonderful hotel. From the staff right down to the clean room. A great feature was the Sleep Number bed which provided a good nights sleep! The hotel is in close proximity to many of D.C's attractions . I would recomend a stay there,

I found that the price slightly outweighs the location at the Hilton. I wasnt happy with the lobby or the room really and expected more. I would choose another place in the future and would just pay more for a much higher quality rather than feel somewhat cheated like I did here. This hotel offers a great place to stay in DC. It is conveniently located close to the business sector, the international organizations and the tourists spots. The room was clean and very comfortable. The only complaint I had was that the food was not the greatest. Otherwise, a lovely hotel.

My wife & I stayed for one night and the Hilton Garden Inn was just right for our needs. We were able to walk to places of interest and, if we had needed a metro, there was a metro station very near by.

Had a very pleasant but brief stay. All staff were courteous, kind, and efficient. Wish all my travels were as pleasant! Restaurant staff were the best - worked as a team which is something you do not experience very often if ever.

Room clean and adequate; however, I specifically asked if we had a nice view when we were checking in, and I was told we would be taken care of - view was of an airshaft - no outside light all all, and looking directly into offices. Could not keep curtains open because of that. Could not tell if it was sunny, rainy, light or dark. Disappointing. Perhaps […] we got this room because we had a lower rate? Didn't seem right. This hotel should be at least a 4 star hotel. Very clean, spacious and very close to the train.

The room where the pool was located was too cool. My wife and I both got cold very fast.

We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel even though it was evident that there were a few maintenance issues. The location for the metro is excellent, as it's right across the road. The area around the hotel seems reasonably safe at night and there were enough places to eat or buy late night snacks close by. Room was a very good size, clean and comfortable with its own fully equipped kitchen, which we found very convenient. On the maintenance front, the room safe did not lock, although it was replaced within an hour or so. We could not get the air-conditioning to switch off at the wall and had to take the front cover off the wall unit to turn it off, although it was a very good system when we had it on. Finally, the bathroom sink was cracked and when filled leaked water on the floor. Eventually this was also replaced. Hotel was nice, good location, bed and sheets were very nice. The room was smaller than an expensive hotel room should be. Our room window was a view of the three other sides of thehotel tower. Very clautrophobic. Otherwise great hotel.

Very happy with the hotel. Depending on time of day, in the lobby there's either coffee and hot water or ice water with lemon or oranges in it, sometimes cookies. They have 3 computers for use which are slow but adequate. The shower water pressure was so-so but that is my only tiny complaint. I actually later stayed at the Marriott Wardman Park for […] business which had the same soft water pressure issue. BTW, the Hilton Garden Inn was just as good as Wardman Park...for half the price. Thank goodness the people who work here are great because the hotel lacks in so many ways. THE GOOD: The valet staff is very friendly and helpful---at $35 per night, they should be. Assistant General Manger Brian made up for everything else that was wrong--spending a good hour trying to get an internet connection on my lap top. I appreciated him very […] much. Nice guy! THE BAD: My room smelled like urine, the air conditioner fan was loud, the wifi just didn't work and no smart phone reception was available if your are on ATT. You had to go outside in the rain to make a call. I asked one guy at the font desk where I could go nearby for Pizza. He sent me across the street to a hamburger place--and no pizza! I don't think he was listening. I think you can do much better when looking for the right place to stay in DC. The new(er) Embassy Suites near the Convention Center was much better. Very nice hotel, good breakfast, very attentive staff, parking was a bit high, I thought but that's DC. Very good location for tourists, which I was not.

The room I got was #402. Good and clean, but the bathroom was not up to the money I got charged. The bathroom had wall paper, the bathroom floor tile were a lot cheaper than the ones I have in my bathrooms at home (LIke .50 ones. I know what I am talking about because I am a Real Estate Agent, An Appraiser and I also own a small maintanance business. […] So, all I do in life is related to contraction and real estate. Some of the bathrooms tiles were lose and you could see it that they were about to come out. I notice that many couple with kids got all put in the same area. Hilton Garden Inn was a great hotel to stay at - close to all the tourist attractions and close to nice restaurants. Very clean - which is a deal breaker for us, but we were very happy. Would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had tickets for the White House and it was so close. We cannot find one negative thing to say about the hotel. If we are able to secure rates as we did this time we definitely plan on staying there again the next time we go to DC. Our one plan though is to try to learn how to take the buses to the National […] Mall. We ended up taking taxis to the Museums and found them to be very expensive.
