I really enjoy staying at crystal inn. The free breakfast buffet is a deal maker for me.

The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. I really enjoyed staying here; however, the fourth floor smelled like smoke. It was a really nice hotel. Breakfast was good, room was clean.

We had a good time and the hotel is nice but the hot tub rules weren't upheld by any staff members. At one point, there were 10 kids clearly under the age of 18 in there and at least one of them under the age of 5.

I loved the jacuzzi in the room!

The tv remote was changed and I'd not work the last two days of our stay... Hotel personnel were notified but nothing was done to remedy the issue

Met our expectations

I really like the doors set to NOT SLAM when someone comes and goes. They still meet fire code, but do not bank and wake me up! I love this!

Staff was very helpful. Located right on the bus line to four closest ski resorts. Could not be more convenient. Rooms were clean and quiet. Free breakfast and dinners were very good. We would definitely stay here next trip!

The hotel is located close to the freeway and there are several good restaurant within a 5-10 min drive. The beds were okay, the room was clean, but it is getting a little 'dated'. The hotel was in a decent location, in the middle of Salt Lake, made it easy to get any where within the whole valley quickly. The neighborhood wasn't the greatest, and the hotel is kind of on a street by itself. I did see that it had a shuttle service that seemed to take people to the resorts. The main reason we chose this hotel over others was that they offered what appeared to be a buffet breakfast and free meal for dinner. We were quickly disappointed with the food selection. The quality of the food was subpar. I could say a lot about how bad the food was, but I'll just say that don't pick this hotel for the food. We had to skip out on the meals and went out. We checked in late and slept in so we missed out on the pool and breakfast. However our room was clean and spacious. Very pleased overall. Close to Fashion Place Mall and State Street. Easy to find in the fairly confusing grid of roads in Salt Lake City.

I picked this hotel mostly because of its location near skiing. I was not the only skier to come to this conclusion...the hotel was packed with like-minded people. TRUELY ENJOYED THE FREE BREAKFAST AND DINNER,, THE DVD PLAYER IS VERY NICE ALSO. THE ONLY THING I WOULD SUGGEST IS LONGER SHADES FOR THE WINDOW ESPECIALLY FACING THE AMERICAN CROSS. THERE WERE LOTS OF LIGHTS AND THE LIGHT SHINED UNDER THE SHADES IN THE ROOM AT NIGHT. VERY NICE HOTEL WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN. STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

This hotel is not a 5 star, but it was clean and the beds were good. The rooms were a bit roomier than the average hotel room. There was a couch at the end of the room in addition to the two double beds. The breakfast was a little better than average because of the hot eggs, etc. Great location to get up to the ski hill.

The front desk was very helpful and served me well on my stay. I've returned there now for a second time because of the value of the room. I wanted to use the HDMI on the TV and the employees quickly delivered the original remote to my room with no hesitation. Highly recommend this hotel.

When I filtered my hotels.com search engine for 3 star hotels and higher, Crystal Inn popped up. This is not a 3 star hotel. I don't blame the hotel for the erroneous result, though. However, the beds are very hard, the sheeting was too thick, the bathtub was well-used, and the housecleaning staff frequently left items unreplenished (no wash cloths […] on one day and no bathmat on another). The bathroom was tiny and I could barely shut the door to use the toilet. The buffet was low quality and not enough seating for guests. And the elevator was small and slow. Great hotel, convenient to Alta and Brighton ski resorts. Room was very clean and the staff was very nice. We were surprised to learn that they served not only free breakfast but also free dinner. It was an overall incredible experience.

Great location to get to the Cottonwood Canyons to ski. Complimentary meals a real crowd pleaser. Front Desk very helpful.

Love the breakfast menus. Close to shopping and entertainment facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff.

only thing wrong was someone stomping around upstairs from us, all night and early am,,,don't know what they were doing but,,,,I will ask for upstairs room next time,,,everyting else was GREAT!!

We arrived at the hotel late; 11:00 PM and the front desk staff was very accomodating. When we arrived in the room, we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was; 2 queen beds and a little sitting area with sofa and coffee table. I know a lot of folks like to complain on this website about a hotel that they felt lacked perfection. I think the problem is that most whiners pay for a 2-3 star hotel and expect a 4-5 star hotel experience (plus the whiners are usually the most vocal so you'll see some skewed data). I paid a Motel 6 price and received a Marriot or Hilton experience. I should add that hot breakfast and dinner is free (not the case in the aforementioned, ritzy hotels). Was very impressed with cleanliness and comfort of the room. Also having the delicious breakfasts every morning and the option of dinner was fantastic. The staff was very courteous and my daughter used the gym. The hotel was very close to shopping and restaurants in the Murray area. Extremely pleased with our stay. Thank you.

Very nice, excellent staff, close to Snowbird and Alta, Very satisfied, only problem was when we booked it we did not realize that it was so far from where our friends live. But that had nothing to do with the hotel or its staff.

Great hotel for the price! My brother lives close to there so it was a great location for us. The room was a lot bigger than I expected. There were double sinks which were another plus. Stay here was really pleasant. Hotel is nice, large rooms, clean, and good decor. Breakfast is an actual breakfast, not a waffle and some toast. Eggs, sausage, fruit, not prepackaged Sysco type food. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling in or through the area.

My biggest complaint is the pool was sooo cold, too cold for my youngest to swim in, but my 3 year old di not seem to mind, it was too cold for me! The breakfast was ok, but not great.

We had a fabulous time staying in the hotel. The staff, service, amenities, and the rooms were great. We would highly recommend the Crystal Inn to anyone.

I had never stayed at this Hotel Chain before and booked it last minute on a change of plans during a month long trip. It was older but clean and comfortable plus they serve a simple supper along with a breakfast buffet. It was nice but we had a problem with the people up stairs.had to complain we went to use the hot tub but it was full of kids very disapointed about that it was one of the reasons we picked that hotel.

Very nice accommodations especially for the price. Lots of room with sofa, table and chairs in 2 queen room. Decent hot breakfast. Pleasant staff. Much cleaner and roomier than similarly-priced room we stayed at our first night in town. We'll definitely stay here on our return visits to Salt Lake City.
