Having sent my athletes to many hotels around the world including Ibis hotels, i can honestly say the staff in this hotel were easily the worst and most unhelpful bordering on hostile that i have ever known. I fully intend to carry this complaint forward. Wouldn`t recommend this hotel due to it`s staff to my worst enemy.

This hotel should be 3 stars , crew was friendly and the hotel and the room was spotless, modern and close to airport w/ constant shuttle service. Internet in lobby is free only for 1 hr., the restaurant crew were very friendly however breakfast menu is limited to cold meats and cheese and is not included in room price.You have free access to all shops […] and the huge airport center Mall when you take the free shuttle . Good hotel, but hotels.com neglect to mention that city tax will be charged on arrival at the hotel on top of the pre-paid amount. Sure, it's mentioned in the small print that local taxes may be charged, but hotels.com approach is inconsistent - for some swiss hotels it's included in the price, for other swiss hotels it's not. Ibis Messe is a great Hotel with a very courteous Staff & well located ..The rooms are very well kept & clean. If you are with your family or on a business trip its a great Deal.

This hotel was very difficult to find. We had to pay for parking and breakfast. The internet was only available in the lobby. The room was very small. For the price, the value was not good based on the above comments.

The hotel was fine for just a night close to the airport. Great shuttle transport. Nice lobby, bar area and good beds. Too complicated transport from hotel to the city if you have just a short time.

It is OK hotel. Do not expect any perks or benefits. Free Wi-Fi works only in the lobby. It is close to airport, so i did not have to keep rental car, otherwise it has not advantages/benefits. Be careful eating in hotel restaurant: I've stayed there twice already and both times got food poisoned (and my collegue has too).

excellent airport hotel - 24h service - will stay there again and again

Great location for getting to airport plus they have nice restaurant. Howver, not much near motel other than a nice walking path.

We paid a very low price for excelent conditions. Cleaness, comfort, modern design of the room, everything you need. It was not a problem to get to the city center having the assistance of the friendly explanation of the clark from the reception desk. an old couple, in tranzit

everything about the hotel was good. the rooms were clean and a nice size, everything was new, quite big bathroom, very helpful staff, free wi-fi, breakfast was very delicious. the location was a bit far from the city but it takes less than minutes t walk to the nearest tram and about 20 minutes to the city by tram so it was definitely worth staying […] at this hotel since hotels in switzerland are extremely expensive. definitely recommend it! I was worried at first impression because the shuttle driver had been smoking and it smelled like smoke but that was the end of my worries. Hotel was exceptionally clean, everything looked new. Ibis is a low cost hotel chain but honestly the price I paid was to much for the little service and inconvinence of its location. Yes the hotel is close to the airport and they offer a free shuttle service to and from it. But getting aroung from its location to the center of Zurich is a BIG PAIN. Arriving to Zurich by train is even farther and hard […] to get there due to no tram close by. The Hotel offers overprices food and snacks. Oh they have only one iron which is on the 1st floor with falty electricity. I wanted o iron and there was no electricity in the room and the only they had was broken. They need to get their act together. I would recommend the Ibis in Baar, its 10 mins by train from HB but its quieter and better service. További részletek

The hotel was clean and convenient but the elevators and rooms were almost too small for our luggage and us. The shuttle was Definitely a plus.

Clean and quick and convient service. Room was smoky spelling but aired out quickly in a non smoking facility.

The hotel was basic - no frills - but it was a great affordable deal close to the airport. The room was spartan - very few outlets, not terribly comfortable pillows - and came only with multipurpose cleaner (all-in-one soap/facewash/shampoo). But the room was clean, internet was free in the lobby, and they lent me a power adapter so I could charge […] my American electronics before my international flight. The airport shuttle was convenient and runs every 30 minutes, and since I had an early flight, I had no issues with overcrowding. This hotel is clean, modern, well-maintained and conveniently close to the airport with a free shuttle. The room was small and the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but the hotel is perfect for a cheap and clean place to stay near the airport.

The hotel was ok. We were about 15 minutes from the airport. Only have shuttle running every hour which makes it very crowded for those using it. The room was nice, lift was very slow. Breakfast was very expensive. Bar only, no food.

On returning though Zurich airport, I stayed in another hotel, much more expensive. Yet it did not offer anything Ibis did not, and the personnel was not as gracious.

The hotel is satisfactory. Close location to the center of Zurich. Friendly, helpful staff. Spoke english well which helped us. Downside is that we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned. Wasn't necessarily dirty but hadn't been cleaned. There was a dirty towel left in the bathroom and the bathroom basin wasn't clean (some face shavings were left). […] Nice touch of the cows (with cow bells) in the small space across the parking lot. We stayed here during the last night of our 8-night trip to take the flight the next morning. Convenient, well maintained hotel. Somewhat distant from the airport, like ~15 minutes. Not sure if there is frequent public transport to reach here, but the shuttle to and from the airport was awesome. The foyer of this hotel is poorly placed and needs more room for incoming guests.It is far from welcoming or of a standard expected in Europe.The restaurant needs upgrading as there is a poor menu on offer during the day

We enjoyed a lot the shuttle service, room and the breakfast. Even Thomas in the reception gave us lot of good guidance.

Quite honestly I was pleasantly surprised with the overall service and quality of this establishment. I had previously tried the Ibis hotel in Germany. In Germany I would never go to Ibis hotel again. It was run down, unfriendly and rough. However in Switzerland the story is completely different. It is almost perfect.

Clean Rooms, Comfortable Bed and good value for money. Breakfast is good as well.

We were pleased with their standards and would stay in Ibis properties anywhere. Free shuttle to airport was convenient and so was transport into Zurich.

The shuttle bus free of charge from the airport twice per hour is very good. The staff are so serviceminded and helps you with all your questions with a smile. 2 Computers with free Internet. The hotel is so quiet because there is no traffic around. It seems quite new or newly decorated, so clean. Big TV screen in the room and a hairdryer.

The only hotel on my trip that was true to their word re airport shuttles. Room was larger & better than I expected, and the breakfast was sumptuous. This was my first stay at an Ibis Hotel, and will certainly not be my last, based on this experience. Well worth a night as a stopover.

Nice hotel to stay near to airport......

Its close to the airport, quiet & clean.

This hotel is very convenient for the airport, and thr shuttle bus was on time and not crowded at all. Hotel doesn't look anything special from the outside, but inside it is clean, light, and contemporary in design. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were very satisfied with this hotel for a one night stay before driving to the Alps. Public transportation is within walking distance, but be sure you know how to purchase a ticket for the streetcar thing (you have to buy it at a machine at the stop). The shuttle was at the airport in a timely manner, and the area surrounding the hotel, although […] somewhat industrial, was extremely clean, like much of Switzerland. My flight was scheduled for early morning and instead of taking chances commuting, I decided to get a hotel near the airport to be there on time. Hotel itself is not that bad, but I would mind to spend there more than one night, here is why Cons: 1. There is no source of food in the hotel or in the area, on top of that Swiss government has issues […] some law not to sell food apter 10 pm ( my case). The only option is to go to the center of Zurich, which I would understand impossible without a car. i had to buys something at a gas station nearby, not critical, but i would rather had a full meal. 2. Hotel is full of some fancy 21st century stuff , such as credit card type room key that activates an elevator as well and it failed on me twice 3. Internet. I am not sure what is the common practice in Europe, but in USA we have internet in any motel, not speaking about hotels. Internet was working in the lobby, while I was given some ridiculous pricing on time limited internet connection while in the room. I managed to find a free wi-fi internet as well as i was able to use lobby one in my room. 4. Staff is very narrow minded, I was not given any information on facilities, everything I had to ask about specifically. For example, I asked if there is internet connection, but only when I asked if it would require a login information , I was given the code. Or, when I asked about transportation to the airport, but only when I asked if there is some type of schedule, I was given a schedule. 5. Parking space you have to pay for. I am sure it does not cost much and I did not really needed it, but this fact is very strange for guest who would want to stay there. 6. Rooms are very small Pros: 1. Room is clean, shower works great and new. 2. There is a beer and coffee bar in the lobby. No food though, bring your own. 3. Couldn't have asked for a better hotel as a landing pad when flying in and out of Zurich from/to the US. The shuttle was right on time and the drive handled my overside luggage for me. I was able to check in around noon and sleep, which was a real benefit coming from the US. Only downside was that several desk clerks provided conflicting information […] about where to catch the train and how to buy tickets for the train into downtown Zurich (the ticket machine does NOT accept bills!). A simple map with key information would be helpful, including where the ATM's are located nearby. On the plus side there is free airport shuttle, free internet in the lobby BYOC or use the computer provided, decent albeit slightly overpriced restaurant, free scale to weigh your luggage, pleasant and efficient staff and affordable compared to local hotels.
