Room: The rooms at the tam are a little small but the oceanfront experience in Aruba is pretty amazing, and would be difficult to get most anywhere else on the island. We had a balcony room in the corner of the building and as such had a bigger balcony. Overall the experience was great, we were in the 1200 block at the Tamarijn and it was a short walk […] to everything and noise was not an issue. The ground floor would probably be better for access to the beach since you can walk straight off the patio down to the ocean, instead of around the corner and down one flight of stairs to the ocean. As far as the pools go, who needs a pool when the ocean water is as clear as it is in Aruba (didn't set foot in any of the pools on the divi or tam properties all week). Food/Drinks: The restaurants were great, the buffet was good enough, and the snack bar was awesome. We never had a problem going where we wanted as long as we were flexible on the time. The drinks were all sufficiently boozy, and I personally liked being at an all inclusive place since I'd have been racking up pretty big bar bills at most of the touristy bars. Overall: Probably not the best all inclusive experience out there, but its the best in Aruba. We agree. We spent 2 hours walked up the whole hotel zones on the beaches. The beaches in front of the brand-name hotels in the high-rise area are crowded (5 rows of beach chairs on a narrow beach), noisy, greasy fast food & gasoline smells and lots of boats to block your view of the sea. This IS the best beach in Aruba that stretches nearly 1-mile […] (or more?) in front the Divi resorts. Tamarijn and Divi are actually one resort. Tamarijn, IMO, is the better choice since all rooms are ocean front. Yes, they do have shuttle services from one end to the other (the far end is a casino, and cross the street in the middle is a nice golf course.). The never-crowded beach has soft white sand, gentle waves and remains shallow 20 to 30 yards into the sea. They don't even have life guards on site. Surprisingly good snorkeling right in front of the 19xx building. There are two parallel pipes acted as man made coral reef. Hundreds of colorful fishes and some lobsters. I've seen groups of bigger fishes swam by, too. The best part is that you can just stand up to clear the water in your mask. Diving Pelicans & creeping iguanas are two other scenes to enjoy. Foods are average at the Tamarijn. The manager said they kept the Divi side a little higher standard than the Tamarijn. We totally agreed. The Red Parrot is 100% better than the Paparazzi. This review is very tough. Me and my wife have been to Aruba several times. On this occasion we went with our friends who have never been there. We stayed November 10 - 14 in rooms 2502 & 2504. The resort itself is very nice, the food is plentiful and decent, the drinks are great & the beach is world class. The problem that the hotel doesn`t want to […] talk about is security. Our rooms were located on the second floor at the far end of the resort, its very peacful & not crowded. But.... our friends awoke at 4:00 AM with an intruder ( Robber ) crawling on the floor in thier room. They chased the intruder out over the second floor balcony. A police report & hotel security report was filed. The police informed them that the abandoned hotel about 300 yards down the beach is loaded with homeless people & vagrants Making these end units very " high risk locations for theft " The hotel management was very professional and even reimbursed our friends for the stolen items. We were intending to return this March with the same couple but they are now rethinking the location. So make sure your sliding door has a bar on it, if not demand it because they will tell you it`s not needed with the newer doors. További részletek

We loved the Tamarijn hotel. All of the rooms open up right onto the ocean which is very convenient. There are shuttles constantly running between Divi and Tamarijn which is nice especially for meals booked at Divi. Tamarijn and Divi have the largest beach stretch on the whole island. We had no problems finding a spot on the beach at any point any day. Just so you know the higher the number of building at Tamarijn the further you are from the hustle and bustle. People wanting a quiet beach with hardly anyone on it, 25 is the furthest down. The beach is beautiful. The hotel is old and needs renovations. But we knew what we booked and what to expect. They really need to make some improvements in rooms/bathrooms. This was my first trip to both the Tamarijn as well as Aruba. I did a ton of research before booking this trip and I got pretty much exactly what I was expecting. LOCATION: Can't be beat. All the rooms are DIRECTLY on the beach. I stayed on the ground floor and you literally can open your back door and walk five feet to be on the sand. FOOD/DRINK: […] The Tamarijn has a few restaurants that you need to make reservations for, as well as the Divi next door which has the Red Parrot. Many of the reviews I read specifically mentioned the Red Parrot as the best place to eat and while it was nice, both I and my travel partner thought that Ginger at the Tamarijn was THE BEST restaurant at the resort. Ginger is rather small and we really got lucky even being able to get a reservation. The Red Parrot next door was also good, but I don't think it lived up to all the reviews I read about it. The Palm Grill is also pretty good, although I can see why some people wouldn't enjoy cooking their own food on the table. The bartenders at all the bars were attentive, friendly, and constantly refilling our drinks. No complaints here at all. ROOM: Could use a little updating and the leaking showers are annoying but not a deal breaker. You get what you pay for here and while nothing here will WOW you, it really was totally fine for me. Tamarijn was the perfect place for our honeymoon! A few of the reviews had mentioned that there were many children present, however I only saw less than a handful. There was no problem or second thought given by the wait staff of this, and actually helped get a taste of many dishes. The beach was perfect, calm and relaxing. Floats and snorkeling gear is available for check out, and the waves are minimal at best making for an ideal floating nap. Everything is convenient on the resort, with pools, snack bars, restaurants, and customer service stations positioned throughout. If you want to go to a different part of the resort, or even to the sister resort or off-site casino, a golf cart trolley is waiting to take you. If your expecting 5 Star acccomidations, being waited on hand and foot, or being treated like a king or queen, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean, relaxing, and quiet resort where the beach is beautiful, never packed, your room is in easy reach and right on the beach, and your not afraid to walk to get your own drink then […] this is the place for you. The staff were always friendly and accomidating to us. Some people complained about the staff being unfriendly or rude, but maybe if you actually took the time to say hello, addressed them by name and asked how they were, they really do appreciate the kindness and will do anything for their customers. It is ok to smile at them and say hello, as opposed to "hey, can I have this drink" or "give me 3 of this" etc. They will also remember you for it too. Some do not speak clear english, but the majority of them do. Remember, you are visiting their country, not the other way around. I actually watched at one bar as a customer waved a $1 bill up at the bartender expecting the bartender to sweep down on him immediatley and serve him over all the other customers. That didn't happen of course, the staff here are not destitute, and as much as tips are appreciated, they do not cater to people based on tips. They take pride in what they do, so treat them that way. Iris, Loiuse, Gilbert, Helen, Eddie, and Edward were especially helpful and friendly to us, but overall they all were. További részletek

This resort itself has only 3 restaurents and they share few more with next door divi resort. Making reservation for dinner is horrible. You have to make reseravtion only bet'n 8.00am to 5.00pm, There is a long line @ 8.00 am to make reseravation […] where only 2 guest service represenatives, who also book tours are available and you can not make reservation more than 2 days in advance. most of the time you can not get reservation for more than 1 dinner if you stay 4 night, So ultimately you have to eat in bufet, which food was not good at all. we end up eating out side resaurent one night even though we paid for all inclusive, because we had no choice unless we could have eat in bufet which we didnot like. there were no lights on board walk which is not safe I would not reccomond this resort to any one even though @ loer price. Rooms very small and dated. Not at all what I expected-moved hotels within 3 hours of being there. Thankfully they had availability at their sister resort-The Divi All-inclusive. I would highly recommend The Divi Hotel to anyone who wants comfort, cleanliness and a very pleasing environment overall. We hated leaving Aruba-it's absolutely beautiful!

You can't beat the beaches of Aruba. Tamarijn and Divi's food was very good. Some updates need to be made to the rooms and some equipment at the resort such as TV's and remodeling of bathrooms. Overall, a wonderful family experience.

Tamaijn is a pleasant low-key place in the "low-rise" area. It's right on a gorgeous beach, with lots of empty sand and few people in the water - quite private. We snorkeled right at the hotel- not as many fish to see as popular reefs but still fun. We rode bikes (included). I took a sailing lesson (included,Sunfish) The instructor could have been a bit more friendly, but I think you can't expect to handle the boat after just a few minutes of lesson. There is also opportunity to windsurf and kayak at the resort. A climbing wall is open a few hours per week. There was an indoor gym, decently equipped. The pool was nice, but I prefer the ocean. There are golf cart drivers to transport you around the resort. The staff are generally very kind and friendly. Overall, the Aruban people are lovely and very multicultural.
