The first time I stayed at the hotel, I was given a suite. It was very roomy. The room I was given this time was much smaller. I guess the next time I will request to get a suite.

This is the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in, beautiful ocean view, feel asleep listening to the waves crashing every night. Nice heated pool. Right next door to Nick's resturant , great food & entertainment!

The location and view of the ocean is AMAZING..Get an ocean front view..But, the room was very outdated

Loved the view, but the maid service was sub-par. Room was never vacuumed and only towels were changed. My bathroom tub was never even cleaned either. The shower spray was too narrow (trying to save on water) I suppose, but if you like high water pressure I woudn't waste my time. The bed and TV, however, were superb.

stay here once a year with my wife, we golf go to the city go to niner and giants games and drive up the coast, very close to everything. the new resturant at the hotel is top notch! we will be back soon!

It was a great place to stay if you don't want to be in San Francisco. Within a few minutes we were in the city. Convenient location for us. The room was good. The view is obstructed by the restaurant, but we really didn't stay in hotel except to sleep because we stayed so busy in the city. Its a decent hotel with a unbelievable location. You cant beat the views and its only 25 minutes from the city. Highly recommended.

Clearly old hotel, some of the furniture is in desperate need for updating. I liked the energy saving motion sensors in all rooms. I don't recommend the attached restaurant for families. Very expensive and not very family friendly.

Helpful front desk staff. Very large, clean luxorious rooms with ocean view. Plenty of room for extra bed. No problem to sleep five people. Free parking. Good location for exploring the SF area by car. 30 min from airport.

I loved the whole experience. The staff was very friendly, service oriented but not over the top. And the location...well, it's right on the beach (or a stone's throw away). I had the surf lulling me to sleep each night. It is a great property.

Our family had a great stay in Pacifica at this hotel. It was easy to get to the BART station to get to the city (SF) instead of fighting traffic and parking, especially during Black Friday weekend. The view from our room's large sliding door was beautiful We enjoyed our ocean scene, even though it was a partial view. We could see the crashing waves […] perfectly. We took up the management's suggestion of eating at the restaurant on site and had a very fine dining experience one evening. Our room size was very comfortable for my husband, myself and our 2 grown children. We found it to be clean upon arrival and our room was cleaned nicely daily. We would stay at this facility again. When I first saw the price of the hotel, I thought no way can this be a decent hotel on the beach.Boy was I pleasantly surprised. It was definetly a 3.5 star hotel, not a 4 or 5. Very clean. the staff was abolutly great they were very accomodating, they helped arrainge a dinner reservation in San Fransisco. the fitness room needs a little work and better ventalation, clean towels. I would however stay there again. Thanks

hotel is very overrated disappointed by the lack of balcony. a railing is hardly a balcony. looking out our window and a view of the rooftop, parking lot and corner house and its backyard with a partial view of the ocean is not my idea of an ocean view.

The hotel wasn't the most glamorous from the outside. It could certainly use a major upgrade. However, the view from my room more than made up for it. Additionally, I got so much needed rest, the staff was friendly and did I mention how close it was to the Pacific Ocean? Wonderful. I will stay there again.

The floors creek and the adjoining rooms carry a lot of sound in between them, so people above and next door can have a big influence on your sleep. Otherwise the hotel is in a great location overlooking the beach. Most of the surfing is just south, so the area was quiet with fishing and walking the main activities around the hotel. Pictures on the advertisement are very misleading. Pool area is tiny, age of the hotel is really showing, signs in parking lot saying that the hotel has cancer causing agents and that pregnant women should be warned. First the hotel has a very strange set up - in order to get to a room on the third floor, I had to take two different elevators. I specifically choose hotels with elevators so I do not have to walk far with my bad knees. This set up really defeated the whole idea of elevators! Second, there was quite a bit of litter around the area, and at the beach, […] two dead chickens. Yes, you read that right. When I asked about them, I was told that they would call the humane society, that they could do nothing because it was not a private beach. Could they at least cover them? My only complaint is the paper thin walls, we could hear everything […] from the rooms around us. We had children running above us till late and once again @ 7 am, and a dog started barking as well. When I finally called the front desk they very extremely apologetic and helpful though, I suspect they deal with that alot. I would recommend asking for a room That is on the fourth floor With no one else around! It was about 20 minutes from the airport, but away from the craziness of downtown san francisco.
