Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lookout Mountain - Chattanooga

Right off interstate and within a few miles of Ruby Falls. Rock City, Point Park, and the Incline. Cracker Barrel, Taco Bell across the street. Logan's Steakhouse, Wendy's, Walmart, Chinease, and Mexican restaurants 1\4 mile away. No complaints with the hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, indoor pool, and great breakfast. Definately recommend.

Great place to stay. Clean comfortable rooms. My kids were upset because the ice cream machine wouldn't work on the 4th floor. They didn't need ice cream anyways. I would recommend this hotel to people.

The hotel was extremely busy and staffing were all very courteous. However, i had a junior suite that had a pull out couch. The condition was so poor that the mattress feel to the floor when I opened the couch. No one could use this awful thing. Even the mattress on the king bed was old and sunken. The worst sleeping arrangements I have ever had.

Hotel was in an excellent location. Very close to downtown and Lookout mountain. The staff was great.

Typical Holiday Inn Suites quality, not the Ritz-Carlton but quite nice for the price. Free breakfast is the usual "continental style" and everything was fresh. It was hard to resist the Cracker Barrel across the parking lot for breakfast though. The hotel needs some better maintenance and a few upgrades. When I entered the room, it was 62 degrees with the A/C blowing full blast. It would not turn off. I had to unplug the unit and leave it unplugged the whole stay. The toilet in the room kept backing up. Even though the hotel had free wireless, I could not get an acceptable signal. I spent time […] on the phone with their tech support who told me "three bars is typical." With three bars, new pages would not load. Luckily, the front desk had an ethernet cord which I used and had no problems after that. The location was good, the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful. We got to the hotel thinking that there was an indoor pool and hot tub. The pool was there, but no hot tub. That's our fault for not looking at the description properly. But, the pool was not up to snuff. It is a heated pool, but they didn't turn the heater on til the day we got there, and it would take 2-3 days to fully heat up. Location is VERY convenient to Lookout Mountain. Ice machines on two floors did not work. AC in our room made a very loud noise, so they moved us to another room. Nice morning breakfast. Compared to other Holiday Inns, this one was pricier.

This was the worst hotel we've stayed in. We had some type of bug in our bed we had never seen before, the bed itself was completely worn out, and when we woke up in the morning there was a roach on the floor. We were a family traveling with eight people; booked two rooms. The rooms were nice enough. The breakfast bar had more hot food than most, including a machine that made fresh baked pancakes. It's a nice place to stay for a night or two. I wouldn't want to stay there for an extended stay.

The hotel was very nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating. Everything about the stay went well.

Everything was positive about this hotel. If I had one area to comment on it would be the pool. The water was cold and the pool itself could have used a new paint job to make it look fresh and clean.

Hotel is well located for a Lookout Mountain visit. Service was excellent – although casual compared to more expensive hotels. When asking about a local attraction, manager pulled up web site and reviewed several comments on the site to help us make a decision. We appreciated the extra time and help. Check-in was 3:00;we got there at 6:15. At 9:15 the next morning we still has NO towels. One elevator was broken as were both ice machines on the 3rd and 4th floor. The washer and dryer on the second floor were non-functioning. We were to have stayed 3 nights, we left after the first.

The only problem was that the pool was way too cold and they were unable to warm it up. .....other than that the staff and room were great

Although the hotel threathened the guests with a charge for smoking in the rooms, the room itself wreaked with cigarette smell. The door jam spacing was so wide that one could see through into the room if they put their face up to the door. The sheet was torn. How disappointing for a Holiday Inn Express Hotel.

Service truly with a smile and very polite with all questions and great recommendations for eateries 'round town. This hotel was great to stay at. Friendly staff. They made some excellent recomendations for dinner. They also made some recommendations on hiking trails in the area. We were a little disappointed with this hotel. There was nice service, a nice breakfast and nice beds, but it didn't really meet Holiday Inn standards. It had obviously been upgraded from a previous hotel and not everything had been done. The bathroom was quite outdated and the tub had a hollow spot and rust in it. We usually like the Holiday Inn chain but this one was not worth what they charge you. This hotel's accomandations should be in the 2 star hotel range.

It was close to Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain. We took a short drive to downtown, but enjoyed being near Lookout Mountain. Breakfast was good.

Loved this place. Clean, staff is friendly, breakfast had a good choice of healthy and kid friendly items to choose from. Room was big, clean and very nice. Would go there again.

Loved it! It was our 35th anniversary and I couldn't decide between the Chattanoogean and Holiday Inn. After 35 years, I didn't think we'd be spending THAT much time in our room. my grandchildren and I went to Chattanooga Tn for Spring Break. My grand kids loved the hotel and the staff was very nice and helpful. My grand kids loved the breakfast bar and the beds. The negatives: Pool had a green tint to it and no pool towels available. The noise level in the hallways after 10 pm (and in to the early morning hours) was unbearable but that's not the fault of the hotel, just guest without considerations of others trying to sleep. My Fiance' and I ahad a weekend trip to Chattanooga. We chose this hotel due to the price per night and the reviews seemed positive for the most part. The location was good for the aquarium,-raccoon mountain, Ruby Falls, and Rock City. Clean hotel helpful staff, great free hot breakfast, indoor pool, exercise area, high speed internet. Only problems were our hotel key had to be re-keyed several times during our 2 day stay, and 2nd night we had super noisy neighbors.

Our room was surprisingly large and comfortable. We were happy we chose this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel on our trip from Miami to Philadelphia and had a great experience. The check in was fast and the rooms were beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic with an amazing selection!

This is a good location if you are out to see the sites around Lookout Mountain. All major sites such as the Incline Train, Rock City, Ruby Falls are just a few minutes drive from the hotel.
