Good location for shopping...all the big box stores are represented there. Not a good neighborhood for walking. The proximity to the historic district is less than 5 miles. FROM THE4 MOMENT WE STOPPED THERE WAS A TRASH CAN OVER FLOWING AND THE WIND BLOWING ITS CONTENTS ALL OVER. Greeted well when we got there. Hotel basically needs a facelift but was not terrible. Breakfast had waffles. Sink and shower do not drain, complained to front desk and sink was fixed but not shower. Beds were clean and comfortable.

The hotel was pet friendly but our room smelled of smoke and an awful cover-up odor. The bed, furniture, and bathroom fixtures were all in very rough shape. The sink was starting to fall off the wall and the toilet paper fixture and shower rod had multiple holes in the wall near them. The entire room was quite disappointing.

The first room I was assigned smelled very bad and the manager was very helpful in finding me a new one. The motel looks a little used--carpeting stained in the elevator and hallways. Otherwise very adequate for a brief overnight. The staff was exceptionally helpful and cheerful!

Almost everything in my room was broken or in need of some repair. The AC in the room gave off a foul odor. Dloors were broken, lamp did not function well and there were holes in the shower curtain that let water out onto the floor.

It was a pretty nice overnight stay, starting with the cordial girl at the desk, the ease of check-in and the cleanliness of the room. I was rather disturbed in the morning when I went down to the breakfast and the man who appeared to be the manager was scolding someone loudly on his cell phone in the breakfast room. It's your typical "pretty on the outside, okay on the inside" hotel. Obviousely an older hotel but maintained fairly well. Good variety for breakfast options inthe complimentary breakfast. Cothes from previous guest behind furniture. Bathroom needed work. Shower head was terrible and shower curtain was torn. Walls really thin, noise from other rooms was really loud and was impossible to get any sleep. Breakfast was good. Desk clerks were friendly.

we have satyed at this motel twice in the last 10 days. The 1st time everything was great. The second time there was a smell of dogs or animals in our room.

My wife and I were returning from a trip to Florida. We generally look for a hotel with inside rooms and decided to try hotels.com to book in advance. We see the LaQuinta adds almost daily on TV and decided to give this hotel brand a try. The hotel was old and poorly maintained. The room we were given first was in rough shape and had a perfumed smell. […] Upon fruther examination we found that it was a smoking room (although we asked for a non-smoking room). We went back to the front desk and the person in charge was more concerned about the towels we may have used than pleasing us. He had to run upstairs leaving us to wait while he inspected the smelly room. We finally received another room and it was clean enough but falling apart with the wallpaper coming off the walls and the grout in the bathroom put on several times and in large clumps. I understand that people sometimes are required to travel with their pets; however, my parents and I appeared to be the only people who did not have a pet. This would probably mean that most of the rooms at this hotel accommodates pets. Not cool if you have allergies or are particular about pets in indoors..

This La Quinta was very much a 5 star for my husband and I. The room was large and luxurious but most importantly it was clean clean clean! The bed was soft and the pillows were plush. Our family stayed at the hotel for four nights. Room is clean. Linens are clean. Friendly and helpful service. I found the self laundry very useful. The room/hotel does not have any pet smell even though it is a pet friendly hotel.
