Hotel Rosedale - Bakersfield

Unfortunatley .... this once beautful facility is being haphazardly remodeled. Not happy with the results at all.

Okay except was told that the work out room would be finished remodeling during our stay and never was.

Older hotel with caracture. Well maintained. Wonderful bed and pillows. Great work area for business. Quiet

Stay elsewhere..pony up for the holidayinn express.

The electrical sockets were loose and I couldn't plug in my phone. The curtains were ripped and had holes in them. The tv had poor reception. But the breakfast was good. And there was a small outdoor play area with swings. Overall, the outside was far better than the inside.

Ok value for money. Breakfast was choice of biscuits, gravy, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fresh waffles, fruit, yogurt, pastries, breads, milk, juices, coffee and tea. Free popcorn and coin snack machines in lobby. Across the street from Costco and restaurants nearby. Mold specks in bathroom ceiling and smell of mildew from A/C. The room had three old worn towels. The room needs remodeling. I found a cockroach in my bag as I was getting ready to leave. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Our room had 2 queen beds and was spacious. A bit of a musky oder and the furniture was a little worn and stained. Needs to be up dated. However the bed was comfortable and we had a microwave and mini fridge. Large closet and nice makeup and dressing area off the bathroom where toilet and shower were. There was a free breakfast where you make your own waffles. That as cool. There is a very tiny fitness room. Best for cardio. The rooms are in major need of upgrading. No hd tv or flat screens. Stayed 3 nights. Everything was nice. The ony complaints would be that the hotel is cheap about the things they leave out for you. Only 2 towels were available and 1 small bottle of shampoo. This amount is hardly enough for one person to bathe. Also only one bar of soap. These are minor issues and they stay was very nice. We felt safe, altho there was plenty of loud noise in the hall. It was clean altho outdated. The young man that checked us in said he would put us in a room with a pool view... that meant cement block wall! I think the pool was around the corner. Oh well! There were no chairs in the room, but we brought in two old plastic chairs from the patio area […] as it was cold and raining and weren't needed out there! Pleasantly surprised how nice it turned out to be as my daughter found your place on the internet. Flower, your lovely receptionist, was delightful and did her best to accommodate our needs. However, when my daughter arrived, she did not get the room across from us as your computer system was down. 259 was a nicer room than our 258 but believe she […] had 278 farther down the hall and that was not too great. The drawback for us was the noisy cleaning of rooms and a couple of knocks on our door at 8am as we forgot to put out the "Do not disturb" sign. Also it was difficult getting our suitcases up the staircase but realize an elevator would not be workable in your layout. The pluses for us were the great pillows and comfortable mattress tops! Can you tell us where we can purchase the pillows? Believe they were Cottononaille or something close to that. You can use what you like of this review and sign it "Loved those great pillows!" This lovely hotel has so much potential, just needs a little upkeep. Our first room was perfect in location and style, only problem was a noise that sounded like a fridge trying to start, even when the fridge was unplugged. After several tries by the staff to get rid of the sound, they finally gave us another lovely room, just not as great a location […] but no problems. Even the traffic didn't disturb us. The staff were great, the hotel rooms comfortable around a very pleasant courtyard and pool - no doubt great in summer - but the windows and some fittings are ageing and need some attention. Worst was the breakfast.. One of the worst I have ever had - plastic - un-recylable plates, ups & utensils, - completley un-acceptable corporate cost-cutting - […] the food was marginal - poor quality - but the lack of environmental awareness was shocking - it would not take much more money to do things differently but it is as if they think no-body cares about these things. This is one of the best hotels in the Bakersfield area, I've stayed there a few times and always clean and safe. Breakfast is good and the Bull Shed bar and grill that is in the same perking lot is a fun place for some cocktails and good food.

The two things I did not like about my stay: Heater in the the room had poor temperature control, making it hot at 4 am. The Internet was out when I arrived, intermittent while I was their, and not working the second mornIng at all.

My husband and I were traveling and found this Hotel on hotel.com. It was one of the best places we stayed and I would recommend it to anyone. very clean, very cmfortable. Staff was awesome. If I ever travel through Bakersfield again, this would be my first choice of hotels.

Location was good, but the hotel is ok. You do get what you pay for. However, the restaurant service is horrible. The Sales Manager was very concerned, but ownership questionable to have employees like that.

We showed up at 5pm to check in. We ordered a king size bed. I walked in using a walker. The front desk clerk said they had no rooms on the first floor. Then she explained they had no elevator. I explained I could not walk up the stairs but to no avail. Well I made it up and down a few times ok. When we left I actually fell down the stairs and landed […] luckily on my walker. Well it was ok but the water was turn off 2 and hours before are check out so that was not good.

Nice looking hotel, especially the main entrance and lobby. Friendly & helpful staff. Only problems or inconviniences were the non-operational hair dryer and the lack of complimetary tiolettries (only a shampoo mini-bottle was provided, no hand soap or body soap).

This was a good vakue for the weekday price i paid. Quality and service were excellent. The only improvement i would suggest would be to hsve some protein on the breakfast.

This is a great place to stay in if you come to Bakersfield close to the main highway and easy they have a great Hotel bar and grill called the bull shed great place to have a drink it gets real pack on Friday and Saturday and this hotel is at a 2 star price but the hotel its self is a Five Star hotel inside when I had a problem in my room they fixed […] it right away I would recommend this hotel to everyone........ The room was very unclean - mold in shower, edges of carpet had not been vacuumed. The first night we had 1 wash rag and 2 bath towels. The second night there were 0 towels but the front desk had towels delivered shortly. Unfortunately, the towels were still damp. We don't mind an older business but do expect CLEAN.

It was a nice hotel, staff and very comfy with microwave, frig, breakfast. The beds were really comfy

The refrigerator in the room did not work correctly. Instead of replacing it they fiddled with ti and got it working but when it shut down again during the night and ruined all the food theyblamed us and said we must have turned it up all the way which would make it shut off ( we did not touch the temp dial). The hotel looked great from the outside. The pool was dirty and needed lots of maintenance. Room had a musty smell 9from the carpet).
