DoubleTree by Hilton Greensboro - Greensboro

Clean hotel, great location near Greensboro Coliseum. Front desk staff contacted a very nice driver who provided our transportation to the Coliseum.

As a woman that suffers with O.C.D I was extremely impressed with the overall cleaniness of this hotel. Stayed there with my son to go see The Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert at the Greenesboro colisium. I was a little disappointed in the shuttle to the concert. It was advertised as a five dollar ride, they didn't specify that it was five to the concert […] and five back. Other than that they hotel was very impressive! Staff was very friendly and helpful! From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by friendly front desk staff who not only were very quick about getting us checked in, but also treated us to yummy chocolate chip cookies. Our room was so clean and smelled nice. In the rest room were Crab Tree & Evelyn products, as well as a generous amount of wash cloths, hand towels, bath […] towels and a bath mat. The bath tub and walls were impeccably clean. The beds were so comfortable and I had a wonderful nights rest after seeing Daughtry at the Coliseum with my husband and two sons. After the concert we got back and went downstairs to the bar to enjoy a beer before heading to bed. It was very reasonable and they even offered a full menu after midnight. The neighborhood was kinda iffy but not terrible. The only weird thing that happened to us was we went across the street to get dinner before the show at The Lone Star Steakhouse ~ we shortly found out why it's the Lone Star. The place smelled strongly of mesquite and they offered no children's menu. The manager seated us in a room where there was no one else while there were other people seated in the other room and there were plenty of other tables and booths available in that room. The waitress came in and asked us what we wanted to drink and left to get them. In the meantime we looked at the menu and decided it wasn't a place we would like to dine, not to mention my youngest son didn't like anything they had to offer. We decided to let the staff on the way out know we changed our mind and to cancel the drinks order. The manager jumped out in front of us and asked us if everything was alright and we told him yes and that we just changed our minds. That wasn't enough for him. He got all loony and was going on and on as we were walking out the door. Then as we were getting into our car he started to come at us running his mouth again. My husband just kept driving. The breakfast was high for the selection of food they had to offer. I really enjoyed my stay and have already recommend The Doubletree to my friends.

Very nice hotel, I mainly want a clean safe hotel and this well exceeds it.

I was very pleased with my decision to stay at DoubleTree. The room was very nice and the hotel staff was friendly. I'll definitely stay here again!

The staff could not have been nicer, the room was immaculate - linens all very clean. and the bed was really comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Traveling with family back to Atlanta and decided to stop over in Greensboro to visit my sister. Convenient sports bar, excellent accomodations, great price. Double Tree had me with the warm chocolate cookie upon arrival. I would recommend this this place to anyone interested in comfort & value.

Neighborhood is strange. Really nice on one side and not so much on the other. It is changing for the better it seems, though

We truly enjoyed our visit at the DoubleTree Hotel. There were several restaurants in the area that we enjoyed. The most wonderful thing that happened was when we left the Hotel to go back East, I discovered I had left a pair of $250 boots in the room that we had occupied. When I called the Hotel to ask them about the boots they went through the chain […] of command and actually found the boots in question for me! That was by far the highlite of our stay--that it was a comfortable experience ; that they had a very honest hospitality staff and the return of my expensive boots! DoubleTree Hotel is the best!! Great place.... wish it was just a little cheaper to stay since I would like to stay there more often.

Overall the hotel was above average. Price was very good.Not enough handicap parking spots clse to the front doors considering the size of the hotel. Biggest negative was charging a high price for the breakfast buffet when no price was posted. We didn't even know we had to pay for it.

This hotel was excellent in every aspect except the restaurant / food selection for room service. Keisha my room service lady for 11 days was wonderful....Allison at the front desk also the best! The restaurant J Butler is a good sports bar and fun for a few meals, but does not offer either enough healthy food choices or selection to support a superior […] grade hotel as room service. Cannot believe that this hotel does not have wireless internet available; it's 2011. Also very close to the highway, very loud. Everything else was OK, clean and location is good but not worth the money.

The hotel was very clean, surrounded by alot of restaurants to pick from. I would recommend to family and friends only if asked...

This hotel was very clean from the moment you walked into the lobby to the time you get to your room, bathrooms inside the room where spotless, The beds were very comfy will big pillows, J-Butlers has great fun inside the hotel. I would definatly stay here again.

Our stay at the Doubletree was brief, but very good. The room was very clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. My only complaint was that the food (seafood) in the restaurant was awful. Should have just had a burger and fries.

Lovely hotel. Close to I-40 and the Greensboro Coloseum. Front desk personnel (especially Chad) were friendly and helpful. Close to a bunch of restaurants, too.

Everything was lovely. Those chocolate cookies were delicious!!!!!!

Excellent stay at this hotel. Room service restaurant great with other restaurants in walking or close driving distance was a plus plus. We enjoyed our stay especially since we evacuated to the area due to a storm. Very comforting. Free internet access was great - kept up with the storm and family members.

Overall a good hotel but rooms had no refridgerator, Breakfast was so so for a charge of $12.00

The room was very clean. Loved the work out room. Pool is small but was fun enough. Beds were awesome and VERY comfortable. The restaurant inside the hotel was great. Food was priced reasonably and it was great. Breakfast sucked though. I'd recommend eating at mcdonalds or ihop. Overall had an awesome stay and would highly recommend!!!!

Haven't been treated this politely in a long time. Sincere, helpful staff. Super comfy bed and peaceful room. Definitely stay there again.

It was a nice hotel with a great location to the Coliseum for those who want to go see shows etc. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us a very warm welcome. Those minutes weren't either the least bit enjoyable; seriously, the water was so cold! That kind of ruined the hotel stay for the kids, but otherwise, it was a nice, comfortable stay overnight. The beds are the best at Doubletree, the adjacent J.T. Butlers restaurant is a great asset and the pool is nice and big for lap swims, all in all, my favorite in Greensboro! We attend our annual international convention and find that all other hotels are either damp, dingy, or the elevator at the Sheraton host hotel is ridiculous for waiting ... too […] crowded there. p.s. we love the warm chocolate chip cookie too! Clean room and a friendly staff, but it is not a place for families. There are no compliments i.e. breakfast. The sundries prices are expensive (1.50 for a regular size snickers bar). The indoor swimming pool was cold, we couldn't swim long because we became too cold. All was good but the use of the Internet was made more difficult than it needed to be. If you are going to provide the service, leave clear instructions in the room.

Although the room was comfortable and clean, my husband and I were expecting more complimentary amenities upon arrival, such as free breakfast and a refrigerator/microwave in the room. We had a fairly strict spending budget for the trip (we were in town for job training) so we tried to plan adequately. The hotel requires a credit or debit card on file […] for incidental charges. We don't carry credit cards, and a sign on the front desk said that, if using debit cards, $20 per night of our stay would be held for these charges and refunded up to a week later (that would have been $100). Thankfully, the hotel staff was extremely considerate and helpful - they did not keep our card on file and offered a free refrigerator in our room (it would have been $10 per night to rent). Unfortunately, we were not informed of these expenses upon booking our room; otherwise we would have chosen a different hotel. We found it to be a very nice hotel, but not worth the cost of the room. My friends and I went to the NKOTBSB concert and the hotel was in a perfect location for it. The shuttle that they offered to and from the Coliseum made the stay all worth it. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, however, they ran out of towels the first night. We weren't able to get any until 11am the next morning. I had to go down to the pool […] to get an extra one Friday night. The pull out sofa was very convenient and they provided sheets in the rooms closet but they didn't have any blankets left when I called for one. They were only able to provide me an extra set of sheets. Overall the stay was good, I just don't think the staff can keep up when the hotel is sold out for the weekend. További részletek

The room was GREAT with the two queen beds. The King room was not available. I kinda aquired the room at the morning of our traveling. It was great to walk into a clean and neat room. nice pool, room had sticky end tables, someone spilled perfume in the lobby and it was not at all compatible with my allergies.

This hotel was nice. It is very close to several restaurants and Four Seasons Mall is across the street. My only complaint was that the coffee maker in my room didn't work, and they sold the coffee in the lobby.
