Wild Dunes - Destination Hotels & Resorts - Isle of Palms

Very nice. Impressive size for the price. We are from San Diego, but will stay here again the next time we find ourselves in the beautiful Carolina's.

I found my deal on hotels.com by sheer luck. Thank GOD! Beautiful rooms nicer than most peoples apartments the bathrooms are to die for. I would definitely stay here again although it seems to be hard to get a deal on it. Only two complaints were parking and my mattress was hard as a rock lol. Everything else was fantastic.

Resort was great and staff was very friendly. However we got locked out of our unit 3 times because our key cards (all 6 of them) stopped working multiple times. Not acceptable with 4 kids along.

This resort is well maintained with great, friendly staff. They provide lots of activities for the kids. Only complaint is that much of the family activities cost in addition to the already costly rooms.

We went for a weekend romantic getaway. The original condo assigned to us was old and outdated but it was ocean front. I was visiting Charleston with my girlfriend and later other family joined. Wild Dunes is a very nice resort and there are lots of nice amenities. We stayed in one of the many homes and it was very clean and comfortable except for the beds. They were hard for my taste. We were expecting a hotel room and actually had a full condo on the beach! It was beautiful. I only wish we could have stayed longer! The 4 for the "convenience" was because we had a bit of a hard time finding where to check it. Call. It was easy once we talked to someone.

Very relaxing stay. Attended a wedding which the events team and F&B handled very well. Service was overall good, although the housekeeping staff had a hard time understanding our needs despite multiple attempts to explain ourselves. It's a beautiful place and a wonderful walking / bike trail. Also very easy access to the beach. We were there on the off season so it was reasonably priced.

The carpet in the bedrooms and the upholstery of the living room furniture need to be cleaned....desperately (Room 302G - A 2 bedroom condo in Village Gardens. Otherwise, awesome! We had a wonderful time at the resort. The grounds are beautiful, the staff were very accommodating, and the room was lovely. While the weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked, we enjoyed the stay immensely and plan on returning.

We were very pleased with every aspect of our meal except for one: our dinner! I mean everyone treated us like royalty and like VIP's while we were there. The problems with our dining experience were as follows: Not enough places to choose from, called and got a reservation for first available and told it would be 45 minutes, waited at least 30 minutes […] after that and heard others complaining about the same, heard another couple order 3 things that they came back and told they were out, limited selection and I thought it was very over priced, and much of our food tasted bad with a strange smell/after taste. This was my best vacation thus far. The scenery was so beautiful, everything was clean and well maintained. I recommend tbis resort to anyone wanting to do a romantic getaway. I give Wild Dunes a 10 thumbs up, if i had 8 more!!

The location and facility are very nice. Th biggest problem we had was that my wife and I arrived on a Friday for a nice, romantic 3-day weekend. The reservation we made said we would receive a King bed, however, we not only got a room with two doubles, but it was in the corner on the first floor with essentially no view. We LOVED the DUNES! I read the reviews and was a little concerned about comments regarding cleanliness or poor service, etc. Our experience at the Dunes was so fantastic, I can't even begin to understand what those reviewers might have been expecting. The price was great AND the facility and location is beautiful. Also, it is VERY close to the beach. […] It is a short (1/2 block) on a boardwalk...to an amazing beach. Our room was condo style building, very new, and upscale. Not an old house like Rodanthe, if that's what you're looking for. Although we received no mention of sales, it almost seemed like it was a timeshare building they were trying to sell. Anyway, great price, great experience. May wife and I loved it. Wonderful experience at this upscale resort hotel. During the off-season, it was reasonably priced and still offered a quality restaurant at reasonable prices. Its "Southern Breakfast" was the best breakfast that I've had in years.

The home we rented was in the villages at Isle of Palms Resort. It was very comfortable and super for a family as it had lots of sitting areas and a really nice view of a pond. It was well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans and there was an abundance of sleeping areas. Would highly recommend!

Great location right on the ocean beach. Very peaceful and quiet. Buy your food and drinks at Publix Grocery on the way to Wild Dunes.

The room we received was worse than a Motel 6. There was mold on the molding and baths, dirty carpets, bad touch up painting, etc. We complained to the management and they bent over backwards to satisfy us. We moved to a penthouse and that was OK but it took a whole day and we missed so much sightseeing. PS even the carpets in the penthouse were dirty […] but the rest of the place was beautiful. We stayed in condo unit 36 off of Fairway Dunes. We were pleasantly surprised at the comfortable and tasteful decor, as well as the amenities made available by the owners. We enjoyed our stay very much, and are planning to return soon.

We found it was much like having a suite with two TV's, large bedroom, very large living room and a sizeable lanai. We had a couple of maintenance issues and they sent someone over to fix them within 10 minutes, very friendly and experienced. All the amenities […] like shampoo, soap, coffee were there, plus what I NEVER get enough of - coat hangers! Large bureau, sitting area in bedroom, couldn't have asked for more. Overall very pleased with the resort, great accommodations and grounds. Beaches were vast, uncrowded and private. The location is about 30 minutes from downtown Charleston, however worth the commute. Golf course and tennis courts were well kept. Definitely something for everyone, from biking on the beach to swimming poolside. Would stay again!

My room was wonderful, however, some of the common areas such as entries, lobbies and hallways could use a little more attention. I was very dissatisfied with the parking experience, however this is probably due to pool construction going on at this time. The staff was very warm, welcoming and accommodating
