Considering the facilities, amenities, location and services of this place, the special discount that we received at booking was incredible! I am glad I made the right decision choosing Ramada Basel for our additional two-night three-day stay after our Rhine River cruise.

The hotel in general is good but the absence of exhaust made our stay unpleasant. There was no exhaust in the bathroom too which is very strange.

The hotel was a nightmare, terrible surrounding neighborhood. Loud screaming drunk people all nite...we could not sleep nor feel safe.

The Ramada can be frantic when there is a big 'event' as I experienced on Saturday 2 March. The rooms are functional, clean and fairly basic. No wardrobe or coat hangers. Just two hooks on the wall.

The hotel is located at the far end of the city (beyond Clara platz) so whilst accessible by tram (numbers 1, 2 and 6), it can be quite a trek if you are walking. The room (Executive grade) was excellent. Very modern, with all the necessary things you would expect from a decent quality hotel.The bathroom with floor lighting was a nice feature. Breakfast […] was OK, if not expensive for what was on offer. Get there early though as the food on offer tended to get 'picked over'. It's the only chance of being in a skyscraper in Switzerland, and have a stunning view on the city. It is in front of the Fair (Messe in German) building but well connected to city centre. Eat at Spitz Cafe on the river, is not so far.

Very friendly helpful staff. Location is located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Rooms are very clean and modern, but interior lighting is marginal. The hotel offers complimentary Internet access which is a huge issue with me.

We stayed in Basel for one night only. Public holiday-nothing moved, nothing open. No time to move around the city. Nice clean, modern hotel but considering the room was listed as 'executive' it was very small. Staff very helpful.

Lovely hotel, with English TV channels, which was a bonus. The only thing missing was tea/coffee making facilities.

presentable, fairly handy, tramstops nearby. rooms okay. a bit of funfair noise (during HerbstMesse - early november) until about 1030pm. gym okay. room rates quite pricey even for Basel. I'd rate it 3rd best of the 6 or 7 I've stayed in in the city.

We stayed at the Hotel during a break to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. When we got to our room the duvet was shaped into a heart and there were rose petals all over the bed, the desk tops and in the bathroom - a really lovely surprise. We were on a high floor so had a great view of the city from our room. There are building works going on […] opposite the Hotel at the moment, but we never heard a thing. The Hotel is a bit of a walk from the Basel main railway station (SBB), but the mobility pass issued to anyone staying in a Basel hotel meant you could use all the local transport for free. Tram No 2 from the Basel station drops you virtually outside the Hotel. Also, Hotel is very close to the German railway station (DBB), ideal for a day trip to Freiburg. Claudia, our front desk person was exceptional. By far the best in customer service compared to the 5 hotels we stayed in Switzerland. We had a suite for 3 adults, and it was very spacious and the room was clean.

We were really impressed with the friendliness and dedication of all staff members. They went out of their way to assist us with our many queries. Even though we were only there for 1 night we felt extremely comfortable and were very grateful that when we arrived at 10.15 a.m. to drop off our bags, we were told that our room was ready for us.

From the quality and welcome of the Reception staff, to the comfort of the rooms, this is the place to stay in Basel.Excellent service, great amenities,great location, with tram stop outside.Rooms are very comfortable, with great views over the city. I was on the 10th floor and had a very comfortable 3 night stay.I will definately be back.

Exceptionally good people at the reception counter...always ready to help and give you good advice to visit this beautiful city. All rooms are brand new and bath rooms are state of the art. Stayed with family in two superior rooms with wall to floor windows looking out over the small park (where Circus Knie was setting up). Can't fault the hotel, rooms were very clean and comfortable, everything was in working order, the staff were very helpful and friendly. This is very rare for me, very rare indeed: I cannot find fault with this hotel. At least for business use, for it is by the trade exhibition centre (Messe), a location that might not suit families or romantics. The reception area is bright, modern, exceptionally spacious and beautiful so long as you like stark modernity. The whole building feels ultra-modern […] in fact, though I was told it was 10 years old (it looked and felt more like 10 months). My room had floor-to-ceiling windows, and I think they all do. The view was poor as I was on a low floor, so if a view matters to you insist on a high floor. My room was beautiful, with veneered wood on one wall, and a bathroom with walls of opaque matt glass instead of tiles, and an under-lit glass floor - beautiful and unique. And the room has a TV with lots of channels that actually work, a luxury in Basel in 2012. The staff were smiley, helpful and polite. If forced to find a complaint, I'd say the breakfast is way too expensive though - 31CHF for a good, though not exceptional, hot and cold buffet. But that really is all I can think of. ２月のオフシーズンだったので、格安で泊まれました。それでもサービスは一流でよかったです。特に３階のレストランは絶品でした。 部屋は窓が大きく開放的で眺めもよく、居心地は最高でした。 通常は７５０スイスフランと書いてあったので、さすがに泊まれませんが、オフはお薦めです。
