Camelot Resort - Clearwater Beach

We loved that this hotel is right next to the awesome public beach. The kitchenette was also a plus although we did not end up using it much. However, thes stuff did not come to clean the room/bathroom even once (when we wasked them, they said they do this only once every 7 days)! Felt very uncomfortable in the neighborhood hotel is located in. Will not stay there again. I urge anyone who contemplates staying here look at it on Google Earth before booking! I do not feel that I should take out my own trash and that there should be a receptionist 24 hours for late check in.

I was very pleased with the hotel, We got in late cause of air flts delays n we were so thankful ur nite system was in good order cause we most defenatly needed the room after out experience with the airline. We loved the decor!! n would stay there agian on our next vac. thank you!!

I did not feel safe, so I left and found another hotel. When I arrived in the evening, there was little if any lighting and the front gate which is right on sidewalk was unlocked. The location is great. Hotel staff is wonderful. The room when we got there, not too clean. It was dirty..shower curtain has mold, blankets had dog hair, kitchen countertops/fridge didn't look like it had been cleaned. But it looks nice to have a cookout, sunbath, chill out, etc. Easy to find, get into, and great for an extended stay. We were here 5 days! Laundry mat right next door. Suite was very nice....but all rooms faced the pool and it was very noisy at all hours. Close to 2restaurants on the beach and has small grocery next door, very convinent.

The Camelot is a great choice for it's location to the beach and other Clearwater attractions. Anything you need is in easy walking distance. We loved the included parking spot adjacent to the building. You're not going to find a lot of big hotel amenities - no fitness center or on-site restaurant, etc. but the rooms are cool, clean and comfortable. […] The pool was also clean and well maintained. The after-hours check-in process worked like a charm, and every time we saw Vicky she asked how everything was and if there was anything we needed. So this isn't a luxury spot, but for me and my daughter (7) it had everything we needed. And it was surprisingly quiet for the central location. LOVED: They take pets, and there's a decent place to walk them. The motel's pool was small, but clean, and they provided pool toys and floats, sunscreen, magazines. The room was clean when we arrived and nicely appointed. DIDN'T LIKE: Our room was never serviced. We stayed 4 nights. I swept floor twice; we made our own beds, took our trash out. A posted […] announcement suggested towel change every other day. Ours were never changed. I took them down on the second day and asked for fresh ones. WORST PART: The mattresses were awful; no pillow-top mattress as advertised. The pillows were worse, more like pancakes. Bedspread not clean. After first night, I remade beds to have more top sheet (more sheet on us and less UNDER the mattress); and we used our clean beach towels for additional cover. UNUSUAL? The room was set up nice, and the bed was comfortable, but the experience was unsatisfactory. Hotel staff are only on site from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. which leaves the rest of the evening to whatever guests want do. Children were screaming and in pool without supervision until after midnight or until other guests spoke up. The second night of our stay there […] were drunken young people raising all kinds of noise and mischief until we called the police at 3:30 in the morning. Lots of upset guests. All rooms face the pool and so if you want to sleep even late at night, stay somewhere else. I am learning, as I travel with my small dog everywhere, it is in the guests' best interest to call the hotel to let them know you will be arriving with your pet. A lot of "pet friendly" hotels have specific/designated or only a certain number of rooms that are pet friendly. I have found very few hotels that allows pet in all room. The immediate surrounding […] area isn't the most ideal, but I wouldn't let it deter you. The convenience stores come in handy. There is a really nice park next to the hotel and some of the most popular, fun, family friendly, beach front restaurants right across the street. It is a small place and you tend to hear all that is going on with the pool in the center of all the rooms and it doesn't seem that they enforce the 9pm pool curfew. I would get the 2nd floor. Geraeumiger Wohn-Essberech mit leider nur 4 Stuehlen (Buchung fuer 5 Personen) TOP-Dachterasse mit Grill Kleine Kinder koennen den Eingang zum Hotel nicht selber öffnen.
