Our stay was great, two minor problems, air conditioner was very noisy and hair dryer did not work. Rm, #268 We loved the beach, the sunset, the very friendly staff and the breakfasts and lunches were ample. We would certainly considere returning next year. We are Vermont residents, residing in Inverrness during winter months.

Very close to the beach, nice pool, which we were able to bring our. own cooler. The food at the tiki bar was good. The only complaint it's the pillows were super flat. Overall I think it was perfect for a cheap little getaway

Have stayed here many times throughout the years and have never been 100% satisfied, but this time was the last straw. The bed was so hard it felt like we were lying on cement! We were charged an extra $20 to park because we had 2 vehicles. The 'hold' that was put on my credit card for incidentals became actual charges that no one seems to know how […] they got there or what they were for. We never charged anything to room. The Dolphin Beach Resort was exactly what my family (me, husband and 11 yr old daughter) wanted for our vacation to St. Pete's Beach. There was black mold on the ceiling tiles near the bathroom and flying bugs in the room- not a good impression. Lots of smokers at, in and around the pool- really a shame.

This hotel was not 5 star but its prime location and on sight restaurant and bar were nicely priced and pretty good! POOL and beach area were the best. Rooms are average but who spends time in the room? It was clean and no one bothered us..just how we like it..Will return loved the convenience of location.

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was discourteous, unorganized, and inefficient. We had to wait three hours for our room to be ready and we could not check in unitl 6:00 pm. This hotel is an older hotel, the room smelled old. The night attendant was not focused on customer service at all, we felt like an inconvenience. However, the overall experience was enjoyable. Had to pay extra for a view and the hotel was not anywhere near 1/3 full. The room we got was next to the Tiki Bar and the music was quite loud but it ended early enough not to affect sleeping. Bed was comfy restaurant was good and reasonable priced. Service was good.

Very clean with alot of updates. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the hotel was for the price. Only thing I did not care for was the leaf blower at 8am on a Sunday on New Years Day. That was a bummer. Other than that I recommend this hotel and I would stay there again

Hotel is pretty old, but has everything you need for a great gateway.. It ain't no Ritz, but definitely tolerable if you are not too picky.. It is what it is.. but enjoyable!! Come on its right on the beach!!

Clean with a decent location, but needs serious management improvement. Stayed New Year's eve and was disappointed with it's party. Closed the pool bar at 6:00. We had to go elsewhere for entertainment. Sunday Jan. 1st 8:30 AM, pool boy using a leaf blower when we were trying to get a little more sleep. We got no help from the front desk.

Older hotel but well maintained. We spent a weekend on a third floor room. Nice view, great pool area. The only drawback we experienced was the noise from the pool area for about an hour and a half. The service was excellent from each staff member we met and we felt welcome. The room was bigger than we expected and the location amazing!

The pool was great and access to the beach was wonderful. Location good. The room was clean except for food left in the fridge. Room was small and beds small. Great place to stay if you are in town to see the tampa rays play. about 7 miles from their stadium. right on the beach, great for a weekend getaway!

We stayed at this hotel when we took our daughter to Eckerd College. The hotel has seen better days, and it's a stretch to call it a resort. We spent 4 nights there recently while enrolling our son in a nearby college. I have minimal complaints. It's not a luxury hotel...more of a "mom and pop" retro style, but with all the good stuff and a casual atmosphere. Everyone was very nice from the housekeeping staff to the bartender. You have a full dining room (good food, reasonable prices), an […] indoor and outdoor bar, right on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The pool area was very nice. You can walk to the grocery store and wonderful restaurants (don't miss our favorite, Crabby Bills). The elevator was a little unreliable, but no big deal. And the beds are going to need replacing soon (add some feather pillows, please!). The hotel is not luxorious, however, it is spacious and right on the beach! We opted for the upgraded room which gave us a bit more living space and we were thankful! Rooms are clean,not fancy!
