The hotel is located very easily off the highway. I think the lighting in the parking lot could be increased. Oherwise pleasant, non-eventful stay. Bed was comfortable and the hotel was very quiet.

not bad for the money but...the breakfast was horrible, the food was undercooked and cold. the front desk clerk was a bit rude and not very friendly at all.

The past few times we stayed at the Hotel the Bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Upon notifying the Hotel Desk they changed our rooms. The Hotel does need some maintenance and an internal face lift.

The hotel was clean and comfortable.

This place is a dump. The corridor ceilings are stained and falling down. I dont think they turned the heat on at all (January in New York). The hotel bar is a joke. The bartender didnt speak english and the beer was warm. I didnt even want to try the food. The door outside was not secured and the door in the hallway was also unsecured.The service in the the lounge was manned by a waiter from the restaurant who had to be called into the lounge area to serve us.Was not impressed at all.

There is nice and quite but cafe is ok because not enough cook... Just encourage them to be good cooking! :)

The hotel itself was ok, nothing special. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was pretty good.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised with the Clarion. It was certainly convenient, the bed was very comfortable (especially the pillows) – and we enjoyed a nice breakfast that was included in the price.

Friendly staff clean room and better than average breakfast with the room, which Hotels.com said was not included, yet it was so pleasant surprise. Also had said two double beds, but they were actually queens which was better too!

I am a light sleeper -- the rooms in the back look over a lake -- absolutely quiet, though now that I have stayed there I can see the noise in the front wasn't much at all. I had called in advance and asked if they could hold a room on the quietest side of their hotel. I know from experience that is a 'request' that hotels say they will do their best […] to honor, but can't guarantee. But they DID block off a room for me in the back. I overslept an hour past checkout on Sunday (DND on my door) and they didn't bang on the door to get me out -- they let me sleep, which was kind of them because I really needed it. Tv did not work, carpet smelled musty, NO hot water in the shower and their main restaurant in the hotel closed early. Would never stay there again!

Rooms not vacuumed around edges nor behind dresser in quite so time (dust, old fingernail clippings, etc.) Exhaust fan in bathroom did not work & commode did not flush properly. room 223 Staff polite and helpful but were unable to rectify problems.

I have stayed at this property many times when it was with another chain, but then it was under a private name for awhile. It is definitely worth revisiting but ask for one of the rooms with the new matresses - the beds and linens are very nice in these rooms. The staff is nice and the rooms are very clean.

The hurricane irene struck while in ny but clarion and staff made our stay seem as though the hurricane never hit ny. There basement was flooded and the whole floor of rooms yet they still manned emough staff to not interfere with the accomodations. It was located by other sites but not close enough where I had to conduct business but much more reasonably […] workable about the price per stay compared with the three dives in kingston who asked for twice the rate. The checkin and checkout process could not have been smoother. The place was very quiet perfect for sleeping. I was very happy with the room. The room was much better than expected. There are good bones here and once it must have been quite pleasant. But those days are long gone. Had I not had a dog with me and no other pet friendly hotels nearby had availability, I would not have stayed. Even my dog was looking at me like, "What are we doing here?" as we walked alog a dibgy hall with frayed carpet. In fact when we got to the room […] he went nuts - nothing like I'd ever seen before. God knows what he was smelling. I could see the stains in the carpet and the loose ceiling tiles, Not to mention what can only be described as a grubby phone and layers of dirt on the phone jack behind the bedside table. And then there was the tube television. Don't even remember when last I saw one even at a Clarion level hotel. Oddly, the bathroom was immaculate, with a plentitue of aowels, arranged very artfully. And the food in the bar, the decor of which can not be classified as there was none, was surprisingly good. Why, you ask, would I even have thought about eating there? Although not new, and can use some updating, for the money this was a good value. Breakfast was included and good.

Great hotel. I booked this hotel the same day I checked in after a miserable experience with The Days Inn - and paid less for a MUCH nicer, cleaner room/amenities. Not to mention the customer service was hands down superior. While I was there for business, there were lots of families there as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel staff Lena in particular was outstanding and very helpful. The room was very average as was the hotel. The Indian Restaurant was good as was the complimentry breakfast. For the price it was worth it. As they say you get what you pay for and this was a little more than what you payed for.

I enjoyed the hotel and I really enjoyed the breakfast. A large variety of things.

Hotel needs updating, but was fairly clean and not as expensive as some other hotels in the area. Okay for an overnight stay - nothing fancy.

Overall decent, but beds not very comfortable

Never having been to this area and having to travel there on short notice for a funeral, we chose a hotel with a brand name we recognized and had enjoyed in other cities - the Hampton Inn. Since I was traveling with my sister, I preferred a couple of queen beds but unfortunately, no rooms other than those with one king were available. However, they […] recommended their sister hotel, the Clarion. The check in was fine - transactional but pleasant enough. I did think it was odd that the clerk commented that I had booked through Expedia... when I corrected him and said it was hotels.com (although why did that matter?) he said it was the same thing. The first room we checked into had such an unbearably loud noise coming from the bathroom that I immediately called the front desk and they told me they could hear it! I went down and got keys for another room (with two desk clerks and a quiet hotel, I would have expected them to bring me, as the inconvenienced guest, the key!). As we were unpacking in the new room, we noticed two half filled coffee cups from a previous guest…GROSS! Makes one wonder what else had not been cleaned. I would have addressed it then, but we were in too much of a rush to get to the funeral home to deal with it then and every time we went past the front desk there was someone hanging around, and I didn’t want to be “that” guest complaining about everything. When we came back to our room that evening, we had to go a pretty far distance to get some ice, across the lobby to what I would call another wing of the hotel. We scheduled a wake-up call that was prompt. The showers had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. When we went to breakfast there was NO attendant there the entire time we were there, and I was wondering why they had made a point to give me a ticket for the breakfast when I checked in. The breakfast was OK; there were hot and cold cereals, breads/muffins and a toaster, chafing dishes with hot food, and tea bags, but no hot water. Th További részletek

The hotel is fair and ok for the price. When we checked in there were two lamps that did not work. When the hotel clerk discovered the problem was in the main fixture he reassigned us to another room. It was not a problem for an overnight stay and was convenient to many dining places and shopping. They offered some discounts for dining as well.
