8/10 Very good

We had a good experience. Staff was really lovely. The free cooked breakfast was really good. I would definitely visit again, that being said there were a couple of things that could be improved fairly easily if the staff was to read this: The room smelt quite strongly of bleach, and there was an automatic light in the hallway outside of the room, that would intermittently shine a bright light group the gap under the door all through the night.

Good locals' pub and hotel

Nice hotel, good food, ample free parking and very dog friendly. Full English breakfast set us up for the onward journey. Great place to stay over.

Book now!

If you need a bed in Stroud and this is your budget, then The Clothiers Arms is ideal, cannot fault the place and it is an easy walk from the train and bus station. Staff all very friendly and willing to do anything for you and excellent breakfast. If you are reading this, highly recommended, look no further and book now.

8/10 Very good

The staff were welcoming and friendly on check in and at breakfast. The room was dated and is in need of a major upgrade. The bathroom sealant, taps, sink and flooring were old and in poor condition. The room was comfortable enough for a 1 night stay, carpet felt tired and dusty and the TV belonged in a museum. I would not stay again unless it was refurbished. The breakfast was excellent and the lady serving had excellent customer service.

A very nice and cozy place. The breakfast in the morning was great. It’s placed on a busy road but the night went well.

New favourite!

Great old inn, friendly staff, great locally sourced homemade food, clean and comfortable room... a very pleasant place to stay when I'm working in the area. Hopefully the new owners will build on this, because I'd rather like to stay here again!

Fantastic breakfast!!!

Comfortable room with use of a private balcony. Olde Worlde, but very comfortable. I must say that the cooked English breakfast was up there with (if not the best) I’ve ever had.

Charming pub, clean nice room—sleeps four 4️⃣ if you need. With breakfast—full range from full English, including vegetarian option to just cereal or croissants. Close to walk to town for the Saturday market and down to pond for swans. Lovely,

This was a wonderful place to stay with a local feel. Enjoyed a couple of pints in the lively pub, and was happy that the liveliness didn’t follow me to my comfortable and quiet room.
