Too loud and not worth the price.
Very disappointed with the stay because the room was different than the picture and worst of all, we could hear every noise in the next room. We could hear entire conversations and every giggle, every cough. It was like sharing a room with a couple we didn’t know. I would not recommend staying at the Queen Mary. For the same price I could have booked a nice hotel. Definitely not worth it.

I love the Queen Mary!
The Queen Mary is like no other destination in the world. It is a 90 yr old ocean liner converted into a hotel. All the hotel rooms were former first-class cabins on a ship that traversed the Atlantic. The rooms have beautiful wood paneling, beds are nice, most have portholes that open. These rooms haven’t been remodeled in decades, and if you take that into account, they’re holding up nicely. Expect some rough edges, particularly in the bathrooms. And the walls are thin. But if you keep in mind that you’re staying in a living historical monument, it’s an incredible experience!

A great destination getaway or staycation.
The check-in process was quick and easy. Hotel staff is amazing. Especially when I added nights. They made the process quite seamless. My suite was decently priced, clean, and rather large with kitchenette. Perfect for entertaining guests. The parking lot reception crew was great at handling my guests. The ships cleaning crew is always at work day and night, keeping things neat and tidy. Food and beverage options from the Chelsea Chowder house to the Promenade Cafe were just wonderful. The Midship Marrktplace carries Starbucks branded products, and they do a wonderful job. Quick and convenient with a great selection of coffee drinks and pastries. The Observation bar is a wonderful place to catch the sunset. It's where we found ourselves each evening for wonderful libations. 6 pm karaeoke Wednesday is a lot of fun. The ships tour crew is well trained. A wealth of information. There are plenty of places to go on board and plenty of things to keep one occupied. You can check out the engine room, WWII exhibits, and more for free. Lots of walking so wear comfortable shoes. FYI, this is a great place for locals to come for dinner & drinks several nights a week. Parking validation available. Call ahead for details.
