I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn University Lubbock for a concert. Check-in was a breeze, and the lobby and common areas were quite pleasant and well-maintained.
Unfortunately, the room itself left something to be desired. The air conditioning unit was incredibly loud, sounding more like a lawnmower than a cooling system, which made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom door was also problematic, being difficult to open and close. Additionally, the road noise from Marsha Sharp Freeway was significant and persisted throughout the night, further disrupting sleep. To top it off, the blinds had noticeable holes in them and didn't properly fit the window, and the beds were very hard, which impacted my sleep quality.
On a positive note, the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. There was a good variety of options, and everything was fresh and tasty.
