Highly recommended place to stay in Bruges centre
As a couple, we have stayed three romantic nights at the hotel and it has surpassed all our expectations.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.Upon check-in,we received a city map and an explanation of our surroundings.Our luggage was stored free of charge and we could immediately start strolling in the city.
Our room was in the second wing of the hotel, after an inner courtyard and was spacious enough for the two of us, with a small table and two chairs for eating / grabbing a tea, a big mirror, possibility to dim the lights at your convenience and a safe. The bathroom is together with the toilet and houses a bathtub - perfect for a romantic stay. It was also cleaned daily and our stuff was left alone, no tampering.
Two minor issues with the room - the bathroom sink's drain was acting up, so we removed it so as not to clog it. Also,the room doors are hard to shut so everyone just smashes it.
The breakfast is a really wide range of continental all you can eat buffet, the best I've ever had. Waiters are constantly restocking the menu, offer you tea and coffee or you can choose to make them on your own of course. Fresh oranges are sliced in half and you can make your own juice with a small machine, hands down. A selection of cheese, hams, scrambled & boiled eggs, 4-5 kind of breads, muesli, corn flakes, pastries, cakes for your coffee -its all there.
Upon check-out, we could store our luggage as long as we want in the luggage room, again a great convenience.
