Extremely Noisy AC unit right above bed. I called and asked to wait for engineer for 10 mins. 1 1/2 hour no show so called again. Then the man said no way to fix. They have such problems in a few rooms and this is one of them. So I had to change room but no better choice. Settled with smaller room and no fridge for less noisy AC. Floor dirty. No slippers. Gave meal coupon for AC inconvenience
So I thought it is a good gesture. But the restaurent manager is very unfriendly and when choosing table on first day though the place is 25% occupied, kept on rejecting with mono tone "No" and "No". Eneded up not wanting to go there so ended up with room service in such small cramped place as restaurent is really not inviting. 3rd day, there is no room service from 10am I left till 5.30pm I returned. I had to call and left the room for 2 hours again for the service.Front desk is ok with one particular doorman very friendly and helpful. That is the only good thing I can say from this stay. Unfortunate encounter. I stayed at le Meridien around the world but the worst one I experienced. I go to NYC all the time but will NEVER go back to this hotel for my business trips.
