Fine hotel overlooking Silver Beach
Location - on the bluff above Silver Beach - meant that much of St. Joseph's tourist draws were within walking distance. The Inn itself was very nice, a tad dated but still in fine condition. The Bistro restaurant was pricey but fine food - esp the omlette. (They also make the cookies available in the lobby in the afternoon.)
Only one quibble - we were going to be interviewed for TV news, we asked if we could use the library for 20 minutes or so, but when we came downstairs we saw a hotel employee setting up for a vendor interview there. Asked if the employee was aware of our request - and were told that they wouldn't 'kick anyone out' unless we were paying for the room. Which was fair, but when I was in the hotel business a guest request always trumps an employee's use (especially when the restaurant is available for them instead).
