The Nirvana Hotel is very close to the subway station 21.St./Queensboro Bridge, which is only four stations from midtown Manhattan. It‘s a perfect place for staying in NYC but not paying Manhattan prices.
The staff in the hotel is very nice and tries to help you in any kind of way. Unfortunately due to Corona the breakfast room is temporarily closed.
The hotels is very clean and the room service is very accurate. Unfortunately some hotel guests smoked marijuhana in the hallway, but any time the staff cleaned even the smell by exchanging the air.
Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We stayed with three people in a two-bed room, which left us a bit space. Two people in that kind of room would be better.
The bathroom was clean as well. Only the towels were changed daily, which may be good for a lot of people, but we would have preferred to use the towels for a couple of days. But it is understandable that in many hotels the towels need to be changed more often.
Only the very last day in the hotel confused us. Even though we thought it‘s a very good hotel, renovations started. They did not affect our stay, but we really questioned the need of this renovation. Hopefully the hotel is not upgraded to a very fency and expensive hotel - otherwise we would like to stay there again and definately come back!
