"This was our second stay at Asaya and we booked a suite with in-room hot springs bath. We enjoyed both public and private baths. There is nothing much to do close by, so we chose to stay back in the hotel, enjoying onsen, relaxation and their award winning breakfast and dinner buffets! Fabulous staff and service, as expected of Japanese hospitality! "

"The staffwas friendly and accommodating. Talking on the phone was difficult due to language barrier, but there were a couple English speakers on staff that were able to assist us. The location was perfect. The property is on a cliff overlooking the lake and theres a suspension bridge behind it. Mountain views everywhere. Breakfast was good. I loved our room. Bed might be a bit too low to sit on for those who have a weak waist, but there was a chair to sit on instead. We enjoyed our stay overall."

"This accomodation is a genuin japanese experience with the cutest old couple as hosts. If you are looking for a modern and convenient accomodation this is not for you, BUT if you are looking for unique place to stay on the country side this is the place. We had a good stay for two nights. Having a car is probably a must to get around. "
