Room was extremely nice, unexpectedly with a well-furnished kitchenette. Good HVAC, overall very quiet room even though next to elevator (#514).
Valet service was friendly and prompt.
Found a great restaurant (Heirloom) in the neighborhood, which was full of them.
Blake lobby had a restaurant of its own, but it seem to close very early.
The stay was fine. We payed a decent sum for a suite. No coffee in the room and a long walk from the room to the bathroom. We had a kitchenette but didnât need it. No real view to speak of. The room was large but kind of weird flow. We were hoping for romantic but it was more utilitarian. Not sure anywhere near worth the price. Other similar less expensive options in New Haven abound.
This hotel provides everything we want from a hotel, from hardwood floors to cozy lobby. Room was spacious, bathroom was clean, and just about everything is new. (I think the building itself is new?) We will definitely come back.
