Hôtel Sainte-Beuve

It's a beatiful hotel in a really good location. Friendly and very respectful staff and very clean. The only thing to have in mind when booking is that the hotel has an old theme so it's not like normal newly built hotel. For example they have actual metal keys to open the hotel doors, small elevator, and it inly has 22 rooms. So if you are coll with this theme you will enjoy your stay, if you are looking for a modern type hotel it will not probably be a good choice for you. We enjoyed our stay although it came as a surprise to us.

Charming, cozy hotel in the 6th Arrondisement of Paris. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Rooms were comfortable, clean, and had nice bathrooms, although a bit lacking in amenities (no Q-tips, conditioner, wash cloths). Breakfast was leisurely, brought to you by a waiter - the continental had some nice breads, ham and cheese; also comes with yogurt and fruit cup. Wish it was buffet style, because getting extra butter, sugar or cream for coffee, etc. was like pulling teeth, even when the requests were made speaking French. Also it was November and it would have been nice if they'd had a fire in the fireplace. They did have a setup serving coffee/tea from about 11am-11pm, which was nice coming in after a long day of sites and shopping. Good internet. Close to the Luxembourg Gardens. Overall it was a nice stay, and I would probably stay there again!

We were very excited to stay at the Hotel Sainte-Beuve after reading numerous glowing reviews! Unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. On a positive note, the staff were fantastic-- helpful, friendly, and accommodating. They provided a smooth check-in, shared information as needed (the Metro was not operating due to a labor strike), and they offered converters so we could charge our devices. The hotel is also located in a nice area and is very stylish, although the rooms are on the smaller side. Unfortunately, we encountered several set-backs during our stay. The rooms (at least on the upper floors) got very hot, especially at night, and it was impossible to cool them down. So we had to sleep with the windows open; but the noise from the neighbors and the rain on the tin roof outside made it very difficult to sleep. We also lost hot water from 11:00 PM one night until the next afternoon, which was inconvenient. Overall, this hotel came highly recommended, but didn't live up to our expectations, especially after all the research and preparation we did in advance. Maybe it was just one isolated and unlucky stay-- but, for the price, I would suggest considering all of your options.

Beautiful and quaint. We loved our stay

Very welcoming people, very considerate and friendly, making sure you're happy with everything. The room was quiet, lovely and cozy - charming. I slept very well in the comfortable bed. The location is perfect as well, close to many tourist attractions, and a few minutes only to the tube. I will not hesitate to come back.

Great location in the 6th 2 minute walk to line 12, 5 minute walk to line 4 and 5 minute walk to Luxembourg gardens. Direct metro to Concorde and Gare du Nord. The staff is absolutely lovely and warm and the rooms are comfortable and decently sized by Parisian standards. The room was on the courette, so nice and quiet. Only the upstairs guests were audible, but that is just a reality if you want Parisian charm.

Fantastic boutique hotel in Montmartre area. Staff is great, very helpful. Bathroom was a bit small but not a big deal. I’d stay here again.

Really love this warm friendly hotel. This was my second time staying here and I again I was very pleased. I will be back to hopefully stay with you again

Charming hotel located in the fancy area of Montparnasse, conveniently located adjacent to a main Avenue full of restaurants and shops. Great customer service with a very professional and multilingual staff. Our room was pretty and romantic, with a beautiful little balcony overlooking the avenue. Not enough good words to describe how beautiful our experience was.
