Clean room complicated check-in
The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The check in process was unexpectedly more complicated than it needed to be.
1. The hotel charges a $50 incidentals fee that has to be paid at the time of check-in. This isn't something most hotels in this price range and with limited amenities require.
2. The hotel has a policy they tell you and also is posted in the lobby that they do not accept "pre-paid cards." However, several cards that are not accepted are not pre-paid accounts at all.
The fact that I was able to pay for the room through Hotels.com using my primary debit card and unable to pay this $50 fee using this same card is ridiculous. If I didn't have a different card to pay this $50 temporary charge, this "policy" would have caused me to lose my money paid for the reservation.
