Holiday Inn Edinburgh City West

Location is good as it's just outside the city centre but the bus stop is right outside the hotel and it's ten minutes into the heart of the city. Rooms are clean, hotel is clean and staff are very helpful. Overall it's what you'd expect from a holiday inn, clean, simple and no fuss.

Bar area was a little small & basic. Reception were wonderful, welcoming & very friendly - Magda especially :)

Lovely hotel , very clean and great. A very lovely staff on duty Ulia , very helpful and very nice , she is a star. My kids loved it . Not sound proof, windy night heard it all .

Good stay will stay again

The rooms were soacious. All the staff were friendly and professional.

The first thing that hits you is the view from the room and the size. The bar offers a family area which was great for our 2 year old. A large selection available at the breakfast buffet. Opposite a bus route which will take you straight in to the town centre. Only negative was the communication. We had tried contacting them over some of the kids items that we left and had to call repeated times even though we were promised a call back. That’s more todo with the central customer service number than the actual hotel staff them selves who were brilliant

The hotel location is fine and the view of the city and over the Firth of Forth from our room was super. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I would say that the only down side to our stay was the Restaurant, which was a pity, the service was very slow after 45 minutes at the table and a dish of olives for starters we had to ask what was the delay. When the meals finally arrived mine was O.K but my wife had selected Fish and Chips and both items seemed to have been reheated more than once. We should probably have complained about that as well but, being British, we made the best of it. As I state, that was the only problem and I am sure we would stay there again.
