Problematic Practices
I stayed there because the Baltimore-Washington International Pen Show was being held there. The previous year I couldn't find a place to park, and I had to park a quarter-mile away. I figured if I stayed there, I could get a space. I did get a space, but I was charged $10.00 for it. In 30 years I was never charged for parking. I went to get on the WiFi, on my phone, saw there was a charge for internet, but clicked too fast, logged on, for less than a minute, then got off, but was still charged ($12.95). I had to sign up for their membership to get the charge removed. BTW, hi-speed internet was $15.95. I have never been charged for internet. I believe they do this so the price of the room looks cheaper. Yeah it was a nice room, the bed was comfortable, it was clean. They had an interesting set-up for the desk. It was a table with a drawer, and the desk slid partially underneath it, so you could adjust how much desk you needed. That I've never seen in a hotel room. Plus that desk area had adequate lighting. I actually want to buy a desk like that for my house. The 'business approach' to the room was it's saving grace. However when you add another $23.00 to the price of the room, I'm sure there other other hotels in the area that are cheaper.
