I booked this through hotels.com while traveling through Iceland. Was staying in a camper van, but the weather as impacting our sleep, so we wanted to stay one night in a decent bed because we were exhausted. However, we never got the email with any information about how to get into the place after the office closed. I looked in my junk folder and everything. I also had an international service plan on my phone. We were outside, in the dark and rain, banging on the door...trying to figure out how to get in. No dice. I tried to call them, couldn’t get through using the number on the booking confirmation. Tried to reach hotels.com but only got a chat robot. Anyway, after much despair, we didn’t get in and ended up sleep deprived in our camper van. And normally I wouldn’t be posting a bad review...however, I followed up after I returned the states to get a refund. And the Drangery Guesthouse declined my request...with a long explanation of how this was my fault. Um...yeah, because I purposely wanted to stand out in crappy weather for a chance at a dry, warm bed instead of a cold wet camper van in the campsite across the street. So, now, I’m left attempting to dispute the charge with my credit card company because the owners of this place seem to think...I mean, not sure why they are thinking, but I am obviously not happy about the level of service here. Btw, still haven’t gotten this email.
