Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Marco Polo Beach Resort

The price for this location of this hotel was what sold me. (though it was by no means cheap)You can sit by the pool and see the ocean simultaneously. The rooms also need to be updated. The front desk clerks were friendly. Absolutely hated that we had to valet park and have someone take our bags to our room. (allow an hour if you should require your car). There is a pizza shop on the ground floor which was good because there's not a lot of restaurants close by. There is a coffee kiosk in the lobby if you must. (horrible coffee).

Heat didn’t work. Room wasn’t ready until 730pm. Restaurants were closed. Pool restaurant closed at 730pm. Only one person at front desk.

Conditions of the room were subpar. Looked like they hadn’t been cleaned since covid started. Staff was rude. Especially security around the pool. They wouldn’t allow kids to jump in the 11 ft deep pool. Even though it only said no diving. The security guards stalked all the children. Administering rules that were no where to be found. One security guard flagged down a 4 yr old little girl to tell her to our her shirt on. I’m not sure about you but 4 yr old boys and girl look no different. I approached the situation and asked what the problem was since the guest staying didn’t have great English. I asked what the problem was... she said she needs a shirt on. I of course asked what the difference between her in a 4 yr ok’d boy was. She said ma’am let me explain?? I said is it the hotels policy to which the employee said “oh no, I just think she should have a shirt on. The little girl had a very bad sunburn and the suit too was painful for her. I have 5 daughters and have had the very same situation. Very unacceptable. On top of it all we had 3 rooms for our family and several teenagers we brought down with us. One night I caught the teens sneaking out. So I ran down to there room to handle the situation.I got locked out of my room while my younger kids were sleeping. It was a mix up between me and my husband. when my husband when to get a key while I stood outside the room. They refused to give him a key. Then they refused to Give me 1. They want my ID which was in the room😡

The hotel has the potential to be a 4 star hotel however the people working there lack customer service training to become one. Check-in took a very long time, even though there was a long line, only one person on duty at the front desk. You could not place your towel at the beach close to the hotel because it was “reserve” for paying customers of the umbrellas/chairs at $40, so even though you pay $160 per night to stay at a beach hotel plus $20 valet parking, you cannot place your beach towels near the hotel (not sure of this is even legal). The cleaning people were vacuum the carpet early in the morning as well as talking/shouting so loud, it was disrespectful to guests (this can be done at a reasonable time..), so in resume, the hotel amenities are good but the people working there needs more training on basic customers satisfaction

Worst hotel , worst experience, girl at front desk was extremely rude not helpful whatsoever, will never be booking here again

We pull up to valet (the ONLY OPTION) and my husband opened the back door to the suv and the worker started pulling bags out!! I said thanks but no thanks. We can carry! He refused. As my husband was grabbing the case of water the guy ripped out of his hands to carry. At this point the worker has all 4 bags and a case of water. He grabbed all bags which was nice but we kept saying no!!! Body language was definitely telling him NO!! He dragged by brand new bags through the cement and all over the lobby floor. I’m not one to freak over Covid but come on. Stop dragging my bags! That’s a $75 bag! So frustrating!! But what really gets me is the guy has the audacity to change my set station on my radio! I had my radio off when we pulled up. Which means he turned it on then looked for a station then set it to save. Also we checked out a day early. Pool closed at 7:30 and the beach access closed at 8:00. Not a fun anniversary at all. The weather stripping around the back door to the suv was ripped when we popped it open to leave. I’m sure it was from him ripping the bags and case of water from my husband. My suv is only 6months old. Im pretty livid! Never again will I return. The shower in our room had blue painters tape around the knobs. The balcony door was broken and wouldn’t stay shut unless locked! There was only 1 working elevator, out of 6. It would take literally 20mins just to get down stairs. We tried to take the stairs down from the 3rd floor, they ended in the kitchen.

It suck very dirty hotel

This place is filthy and run down. Even the recent improvements are done with very poor craftsmanship and taste. Sheets and towels are stiff and dirty. My wife, daughter, and I were booked for 5 days. Arrived at 10 pm first night to find broken elevators, broken vending, newly remodeled room that felt like a dungeon and smelled musty, dirty sheets, towels, nasty bathroom and shower with disgusting plumbing. My 12 year old was begging to sleep in the car instead! We checked out first thing the next morning and was never even asked why we didn’t want to continue our stay...I believe they already know that they are running a Sh*t hole. I would even expect more from a third world country. I would never recommend anyone stay here until New management/owners and 100% renovations.

The hotel is older but livable. Pool and beach area are nice. Pool bar was pricey. Valet parking was awful !! Women taking calls screwed up our service twice. Need to call 30 min. in advance and still had to wait and one time hadn’t left to get the car ( women didn’t give them the key ... awful service women ... the valets were ok ... overall .. average hotel with nothing within walking distance.. need a car. Beachfront is their only draw.
