Eagle View Motel & Retreat

This is such a precious property. NE Iowa's hidden gem. The view is a slice of heaven. The staff is very professional & personable. The hotel itself is easy access, yet a retreat. Rooms are clean & well kept/maintained. I will always return to this hotel whenever in the area. Long live Eagle's View Hotel & Retreat!

So relaxing and the most incredible view! Our room was ready on short notice, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was incredibly clean. We loved it and can't wait to go back!

I liked that the check in to the room was quick and convenient. One just had to enter an access code and BAM! I also got my own liquid soap and shampoo. The one downside was the rooms tend to have mosquitoes and shadflies in them, but it still was nowhere near as bad as a stay in a Wisconsin motel last year.

Our stay was amazing! The view from our room and from the deck can’t be beat. Waking up to the sunrise over the river is beautiful. Very quiet and feels like home. The bathroom was slightly dated but you can see they are working on renovations as they can. The room was clean and that’s the important part! Plenty of room for myself, my wife, and our two daughters. I was even able to park my boat in the entrance area. If you are looking for a place to stay in Guttenberg, you really should give this place a shot. You won’t be disappointed. We’ll be back for sure!!!!

The motel was excellent! We loved the location, room, property everything about it! I am however disappointed in the final charges. There are two websites that state pets are welcome and stay for free, o saw the one and didn’t think anything else of it. Well there is one place that states there is a $25 pet policy. So when I was charged my final bill it was a little shocking to see the extra $150.00 charge for pets. I understand there was a spot where my dog had thrown up and one spot where he had an accident, I tried to clean these up the best I could with soap and water. I just feel the websites should be consistent and all say there is a charge for pets and not that they are free, this is very misleading. Thank you, Stephanie Woodyard

The bed was uncomfortable other then that i loved it

Electronic doors, no key cards and such. Nice room, clean, comfy but needs something like small side tables near the bed. No place for your phone or glasses sxcept across the room. Gorgeous views, unusuall parking. Could have used some directions there.
