Astor Hotel

We stayed here on two separate occasions and received the family room on Floor 4 and Floor 7. Floor 7 seems like it is newly renovated and the family room felt like a 4-star hotel Astor Hotel is labeled as. However, the family room on Floor 4 was not renovated and felt dirty and cheap. The bathroom in the family room on Floor 4 was a special needs bathroom. The bathroom and toilet was constantly wet after someone would shower. The shower area was not covered and just drained into the floor. Breakfast buffet was superb with a lot of traditional Greek dishes. Their Greek yogurt and honey was very good!

Good location had trouble with air conditioner not working and it was very hot staff were not overly concerned

The hotel is in a great location ,all the staff were very pleasant and helpfull.the breakfast was very nice .....the restaurant has an amazing view of the Acropolis. The only negatives were the condition of the carpets and decor .....regardless of that we enjoyed our stay

I spent one night in Athens and chose the Astor hotel for two reasons: 1-it is close to Syntagma subway station ( from where one can catch the subway to the airport) 2. It has a terrace with a stunning panorama of the Acropolis. The hotel Is not fancy but my room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent and is served at the restaurant on the 10th floor ( from which you see the Acropolis). You can also have dinner there . The menu is decent and the service is very good.
