when we got to our room after checking in the door was proped open with the deadbolt, soo pretty much anyone could have been in the room all day. We were exhausted after a very long day, so we did a quick walk over and mostly everything was good! it was clean so we decided not to make a fuss about it, when we got to our room we went straight to bed. sleep was horrible! There is zero sound proofing - we heard not only traffic all night, but also the room above us we could hear every step the took, every toilet flush, the conversations, their TV, and the worst part- we could here them throwing up…. all night. This led to sleepless night of tossing and turning on a hard mattress. I stay at hotels a lot and am typically a deep sleeper and noise doesn’t bug me too much. This was the noisiest hotel stay ever, and i don’t believe the other guests were being obnoxious, just zero sound proofing. On top of that, during our first night, i notice that the towel rack in the room was half off the wall, barely hanging on. In the morning we explained this to the front desk, along with the door being proper open upon our arrival and they didn’t seem concerned the slightest. I didn’t want the broken towel rack to come back to me so i wanted to be upfront about, she didn’t seem to understand the point. She also said they would send maintenance and they didn’t come at any point in our stay. This hotel has potential to be great, but it’s OK at best
