Residence Inn by Marriott Montreal Downtown

From initial greeting at desk; helpful recommendations for tours/dinner options, parking advice= superb! We arrived early ad parked in a parking garage, not expecting to check in. Veronika was very helpful! Helped us pay for our Hop-on Hop-off tour, reminded us to keep our parking ticket with us as the garage we used was an automated one and we would need the ticket to unlock the door to the garage for our really early departure. This, even though the hotel no longer recommends that garage ( they suggest the other one simply because it is staffed at all hours so any problem can be handled immediately). Thankfully we didn’t encounter any issues! Lobby has fresh coffee available in the morning as you head out; flavoured water in the afternoon—great since one ends up walking a lot! Breakfast was good-lots of choices. Tables were ‘bussed’ immediately= very clean! Hotel is in a great location ( we thought). Tour bus terminal for the HopON-HopOff was just a few blocks away. Sainte Catherine Street also just a few blocks. Subway station Peel was just around the block. We didn’t use the subway, but we did go to the subway to experience the underground shopping—immense!! Lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Area felt very safe ( we were usually out until later ( noticed we were often the ‘oldest’ people walking around—most of the other pedestrians could’ve been our kids’ ages LOL) Would love to return—and would definitely book here again!!!!

Great location. Very busy area in the middle of the city.

Reasonable hotel, wish we had a better view from the window. Construction around was also a huge inconvenience.

Breakfast was good. Nice selection. Anytime we used house keeping, things were there within minutes. Lots of places to eat nearby and easy walk to Mont Blanc

The hospital corners were sloppy.
