When I arrived, there was nobody at the the check-in counter. I waited for a full hour before I called the owner. The owner mentioned that the reservation was never confirmed, although I paid and had a confirmation number. Eventually, he mentioned that the hotel was overbooked and he couldn’t do anything to me even thought I messaged the hotel on WhatsApp three days prior to arriving to make sure everything was good. After a long argument he called another hotel that was next door and they took me in. I still had to pay the other hotel and apparently that happens often, at least according to the other hotel. The hotel never followed up with me or even apologized, which shows the obvious lack of care towards their customers.
