Embassy Suites by Hilton San Francisco Airport Waterfront

Great hotel, convenient to the airport. The best part for us was the view of jets taking off and landing. If it weren't for the cost, this place would be perfect

Nice hotel, loved the indoor trees and plants. Happy hour was happening when we arrived, we each received two complementary drinks. Breakfast was great, cooked to order a bit over crowded, not enough tables.The pool was cold and overcrowded! My kids couldn’t find a place to get in that was not crowded. They decided to not swim at all. They were looking forward to the pool, a bit disappointing. This hotel is huge, maybe they need a couple more pools?

Overall a nice place. We arrived late in the evening and our five year old was in pain from toxic Synovitis, an inflammation of the hip joint. They worked to get us a room quickly but when we got to the room, a cleaning crew was there and abruptly told us the front desk should have checked first. I took my five year old who was crying in pain BACK to the lobby (with three older kids in tow) and the gentleman at the front desk was apologetic, offering a free dinner, but we had already eaten. He got us another room and said he would speak to a manager but we were never contacted again about the incident. Aside from that, the rooms were clean and spacious, the kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was excellent.

I loved our stay at the hotel.We will come back again. My only recommendation is for the breakfast menu. I would love to see some other fresh fruits for the kids.

I booked a bayfront w balcony room with 2 beds and a sleeper sofa months in advance. Upon check in, I was given a room with 2 beds, no sleeper sofa, no balcony, and no bay view. What?? So I went straight to the manager, who told me that all bayfront rooms were checked out, and all they could do is give me non-bayfront room, and hope that someone checks out the next day from the bayfront rooms. At least we got ourselves a sleeper sofa, which we couldn't do without. The room rate was also reduced by the bayview amount that I originally paid for. So, this was a "fair" downgrade basically. In my opinion, that's not the way to treat your customers. Having an overbooked hotel is really not a customer's fault, and the hotel such as Embassy Suites needs to be better at recognizing this and at least offer comps. On a positive side, this hotel had the best breakfast I've ever had in hotels! Even though you had to stay in a line for it, it was worth it. Its also right by the bay, so it's a really pretty view! No wonder the bayfront rooms were overbooked.
