Charming Apartment Stay at Historic District
As many have mentioned, noise is the main discomfort here -- not only from the busy fun-loving street below, but also from neighboring apartments next door and coffee shop music below. I was prepared for it and was still surprised by *just* how noisy. Sonder provides a noise machine and ear plugs, and while they helped the main culprit was the bass from music that earplugs don't do much to ward against.
That said, this apartment was absolutely charming. High ceilings, good airflow. I loved having a kitchenette and laundry in-unit. I really felt like a Savannah resident, if only for three days.
The apartment location was ideal. It is very walkable, just a few minutes down to the river and for a longer stroll, up to Forsyth Park. Perfectly safe and walkable all the way to artsy Starlandia. No problem with finding good eats with the block or two. So many charming squares in easy reach. I used the city's parking structure across the street and it was very reasonable. I would stay here again, especially during mid-week.
