Reserved online in the morning, when we arrived and checked in, I was told I had 2 rooms ordered. When I said it must be a mistake, I only booked one, I was told I'd have to work with the 3rd party with whom I reserved with. Long story short, Maritime Bay wouldn't cancel, Hotels and Expedia wouldn't cancel, said I had to work with the Motel.
Run around from both ends and was basically told by everyone, "Oh well, you booked it." Great customer service all the way around (Being sarcastic here). They place wasn't that great. The breakfast was about as tight wad as you could get (for the money paid for the night). One type of bagel or English muffin, one type yogurt, a couple types of cereal in the small box, milk or OJ, that's it.
Was in town for a funeral, and left there to attend another, so tough times + a bad experience and again, no sympathy or relief from anyone to get it right. Guess the lesson is to book through the motel/hotel and stick with a chain, not a fly by night outfit. Only reason we stayed there is that it was on the lake and thought to try to relax a bit between funerals. Not so much in the end. Ahhhhh.
