I was genuinely impressed with my stay at the Aiden Austin City Hotel — this place definitely stands out from your typical hotel experience. The overall vibe was crisp, modern, and very welcoming. From the moment I checked in, I could tell they put thought into the guest experience. I was pleasantly surprised with a VIP welcome bag full of local goodies — a classy and unexpected touch that instantly made it feel special and memorable.
The layout of the hotel was fun and unique, and the breakfast? Absolutely amazing. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to help. When I needed to extend my stay by a night, the front desk made it quick and easy, and to my delight, I was given a second VIP bag — talk about going the extra mile!
I fully expected to leave a 5-star review... until two unfortunate issues. While in the bathroom on my last night's stay, I had a run-in with a massive cockroach that literally charged at me. I tried washing it down the shower drain, but it was so big it wouldn't go — I ended up trapping it with the ice bucket (not exactly a highlight of my trip). Then later that night, the fire alarm went off a couple of times — just briefly, but enough to be unsettling. Also, getting into the driveway if the place was a bit of a maze the first couple of times.
Despite those significant disturbances, the rest of my stay was fantastic. I’d definitely consider returning, especially if the hotel addresses those unexpected hiccups.
