I had stayed at Bonaventure years ago and I don’t remember having any troubles. However, on this trip with my family, after everyone was showered and ready for bed, I grabbed the last clean towel on the shelf under the sink, and found a dirty pair of women’s underwear. Needless to say, I was disgusted and angry. I am a nurse and I am very aware of risks of bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections one can contract with contact. I immediately notified the on-call supervisor. It took more than 30 minutes to have an employee come assess, but they only sent a housekeeper who was only told to drop off new towels. No one offered to clean the area, nor did they offer a room change or financial compensation. This room cost me more than 400$ for one night. I then went to the front desk myself to speak with the supervisor to discuss the health and safety risks and my disgust. I demanded a room change and was told their financial compensation was “free breakfast” for us. Will NOT be staying there again.
