Having stayed at many 5 star establishments before. I was disappointed at this hotel although it brands itself as a 5 star.
1. Cleanliness can be improved at the breakfast restaurant. There were birds flying inside the restaurant and pecking at food sometimes which made me question the hygiene of the food.
2. Service was also not on par with other 5 star hotels. Things such as picking up the call by the second ring, providing more personalised service for guests were not met.
3. Condition of the hotel is slightly old but still acceptable. However, the bed is a bit too soft for my liking.
4. I was also supposed to get a complimentary room upgrade if there is availability. I found out from the receptionist that there was availability but i had to pay instead which I rejected. It was a disappointment.
Overall, if it is branded as a 4 or 4.5 star hotel, I can accept it but I was looking forward to a truly 5 star hotel stay.
